I've had alot of them, but the past two times I've don it I got white. Here's how I did it.
1: Green: (1-5 minutes until egg hatches, or 20-25)
2: White: (19-20 minutes, not likely to get. I actually worked VERY hard to get him.
3: I love this yoshi thing. I wonder what I- White again?
(Before Green and the first white put two more greens I was too lazy to put. I think Getting white after green is a sign of me getting better.)

I got red both times I went through that chapter (I never actually beat the game the 2nd time through though...).
I think I watched someone get a green yoshi once...
What did you call your yoshi(s)?
I just call it "Yoshi" because I don't feel like thinking of something better. |

Flavio has gotten pink on each of Flavio's 4 playthroughs. T_T
On all but the first, Flavio named the yoshi Doopliss, just for the hell of it. Though, the first time Flavio named it Guy. |

0-6 Minutes Green
6-9 Minutes Red
9-11 Minutes Blue
11-15 Minutes Orange
15-18 Minutes Pink
18-19 Minutes Black
19-20 Minutes White
Copied from super mario wiki. It overlaps, too. So 21-26 minutes is green. Black, and white live up to their names, as the rarest type of yoshi, being a smallest chance, 1/20 of getting one.
And as we know, you're most likely to get green, or if you're slow in the glitz pit, red blue, and maybe even orange. Pink however.... when you get pink you turn your game off till you get something cool. XP |
