The current punishment methods used for certain rulebreakers, isn't severe enough to mantain order. Several members are jailed over the process of minor offenses piling up against them, however, some are immediately jailed for threats to the community or unnacceptable behaviour. Both receive the same punishment, and are let out several days later, completely obsolved of their actions and therefore, angered by their jailing and decide to heighten their next move. Users rarely ever get banned, which means that convicts are allowed to run rampant as much as they wish in the jail, devouring bandwidth in the process. There needs to be a punishment which completely disallow contact and posting ability for an extensive period of time so that they are discouraged in coming back, or if they do, will probably learn a lesson. The jail is simply a Dump to them, where they can have conversations with other jailed members and post all of the trash that they wish. It's almost a privellage to certain users, and needs tightening up. Perhaps, a solitary confinement or temporary ban until further notice. Moderators should also be allowed to view Hidden Users so that they are aware of all who are online.

For those who don't know, repeat offenders get temp bans instead of jailtime, and the temp bans get longer with each subsequent punishment.

Oh, and I agree with the "Mods see hidden users" bit.

And this matters why? You're just trying to give yourself more useless privileges. >_>

I agree, right now the punishment seems way too easy.

Yeah, I agree. I really think that the punishments needs to be stricter. I think that people should get suspended after being jailed a few times....a user isn't going to stop breaking rules if you just lock them into one forum. They can still spam in that one forum. If you suspend the member for a few days, then they might consider following the rules.....and if someone continues breaking the rules, they could end up getting a permanent ban.
And moderators being able to see hidden users might actually be useful. Really, what if a hidden user was some hacker? Or if the hidden user was a spammer, and no one would know when they were on? Like I said, if a bad user was hidden, it could be useful for the mods to be able to see hidden users.
