Really, the way M'aiq has always seen parties on this site is as an opportunity to have fun and chat to the other members. Kind of like a designated "everyone get on at [x] time" day, where the members can just let loose, and even roleplay as whatever characters they want.

Then along came themes, which M'aiq didn't mind; themes give us a better excuse to have parties, we are allowed to fit into a certain branch of the gaming world, and it was fun pretending to be a different character besides yourself.

Then along came the mod plots. These have basically hijacked what SHOULD be a social thing and turn it into a chore, forcing every member of the forum to RP some crappy armageddon plot. Every member is then sucked into several hours of reading threads because they have a role in the story that is gaining 200 posts a minute, and everyone would be devastated if they dropped out. Were you 15 minutes late to the party? Tough, you've missed so much of the plot you'd have to read a lightspeed in order to catch up for the end, and by the time you understand what's going on, it's far too late for you to have any role in it, so you will just be ignored by all but maybe one person.

So congratulations, Digibutter, you've all but killed the meaning of 'party' for M'aiq. This only leads him to suspect that we will once again be forced to sit through a terrible Brawl RP, leaving very little hope for anything remotely fun to actually occur in a party again.

I think Mod Plots are fun. You just don't know how to get into the spirit of things.

I agree with Joshamuffin. If you're not into, instead of complaining the whole time, try and if you don't like it, leave for the rest of the day. -_-

IMO, there should be an equal amount of both things. Obviously, some members enjoy the mod plots, and some don't. Maybe we could alternate between them?

Now that we're becoming a bigger community, the controllers of the site, (Including the Mods) think its better to have a plot to the parties.

Because almost everyone is a slave to RPOT.

And therefore, more Roleplaying to be involved, but with COINS. The only reason people even partipate is for the coins, or just for the sheer fun of roleplaying which usually gets ignored.

Well, atleast, thats my theory. I know Roleplay Offtopic has something to do with it.

Parties shouldn't have themes any longer, IMO. Themed parties get boring, whereas parties where we can use any kind of special alt are much more fun. Also, the plot was terrible. Destroying digibutter = WORST. IDEA. EVER. It was just an excuse to switch servers and add a useless front page to the site.

As I said before. I agree with no more plots involved with these parties. It drives everyone away from the party until there is no party. This shouldn't happen at the SSBB party so the plot will drive everyone away from Brawl.
