We can make it somewhat more worthwhile if we add some extra content to it, I think...
Such as:
A list of latest threads, with links to go to them.
Top three to five active forums.
Personal greeter. Example:
Welcome back, Guest!

You last visited: Jan 28 2008, 08:08 PM.
There has been 14 posts in 156 topics since your last visit!
Click here to view all new posts (it'll run a site search).
MAYBE, the top 10 posters (post count). You can do top 10 overall, and/or the top 10 posters for the day.
You can have the site statistics and members online viewable also on the Homepage.
And perhaps some other things, like a virtual Digibutter Clock or Calendar.
I'm sure there are other things, too.
I don't know, just a suggestion... |
