I gots two categories:

WTH moments:
*Getting absorbed by dark matter in Luigi's Purple Coins... OVER AND OVER!!
*Freezeflame Galaxy Cosmic Comet: Cosmic Mario pushed me off the ledge, and I fell into the tiny black hole, not the supermassive one behind it!
*Ghostly Galaxy, Luigi in the Haunted Mansion: I was Boo Mario, and I was in the room where Luigi was trapped. Instead of hitting the light beam, I went out the window, lost the Boo Suit (because it's bright out there), and WTC'd off the ledge!

Lolwut moments:
*Groundpounded over dark matter in Bowser's Dark Matter Plant. Instead of devirtualization by dark matter, I fell through it as if it wasn't even there!
*The black hole below the platform you land on after infiltrating the Dreadnought dun work. Seriously, you can drop yourself and a Bob-Omb off the ledge, or even groundpound off of it. The black hole won't suck you in!
*Galaxy Reactor, last planet (the reactor itself): Tricked Bowser into smashing the glass, but couldn't move out of the way (because my dog wetnosed me at the crucial moment). Got Bowser'd and burn'd at the same time, and I didn't get any coins from Battle Planets 1 and 2.

Biggest WTF moment for me was getting the Star Chips off the Queen Bee, since I figured you could only crawl all over honeycombs as Bee Mario. I talked to her numerous times and just sort of thought to myself "...naaaah...wait...oh, you gotta be KIDDING me!" It was like the game gave me a flip on the nose, and honestly, I felt, well...really, really stupid.

Another such moment happens often to me in those side-scrolling sections where there are different fields of gravity around. Basically, what happened was I tried stretching out a long jump over...hm...where was it?...oh, yeah, I tried to save time at the Dark Matter Plant by stretching out a long jump for speed after one of the harder gravity panel sections...then I slightly brushed one of the other gravity fields and plummeted to the Massive Dark Matter Block O' Death(tm).

Finally, there's flying. No, not with the Flight Suit, mind you, by stretching out a Long Jump to absurd distances around those UFO things at Battlerock Galaxy. I've orbited around three at once.

A time after I completed the game, I was at Good Egg Galaxy for no reason at all, and I looked, in the first person view, to the right on the lighter side of the first planet. What I saw? A BLACK HOLE, JUST THERE FOR NO REASON.

My reaction to that? "WHAT THE *CRAG* HOLY *CRAG*!?!?!?!"
