...or much like with many series brought to light in Melee, did people just start fanboying/girling about it after they found out that Pit was in the game?
I'll admit that it wasn't until Melee that I had a deep appreciation for Earthbound, Fire Emblem and Ice Climbers, and I'm thinking that this may be similar with Kid Icarus.
But I probably am wrong.
It's just I played Kid Icarus before Pit was even a thought in peoples minds in terms of a Smash Bros. character, and the game didn't really rock my socks. Seemed like a typical NES platformer.
Granted I didn't get past the first stage XD |

I bought it on teh VC becasue rasto said to. bad idea.
terrible game. in my opinion anyway. it's one of those things that you either love or hate. |

Honestly, it looks like Ghouls n' Ghosts mixed with Metroid.
Since M'aiq never beat the first level of the former, he is afraid to bother trying. |

If you can't beat level one, work your ass of like I did. It was FUN enough to keep playing. I only got the game because he was in brawl, and I liked it. It's a great game. People say don't make another because it'll be hard. Apperantly they don't remember games were ALL hard back then... atleast, that's my oppinion.
Plus, I always liked archery. Pit could honestly be a great character in 3-D. It could have excellent flying within it. Frankly, it's just as good as mario bros. 1, metroid, and LoZ, But all the little sissies everywhere whine that it's too hard. Frankly, after the first level, you can probably handle it.
I'll SHOW you challenging. Battle Toads. My 27 year old cousin had to use cheat codes, and he still had a *crag* hard time. Games were ALL challenging back then. It's like Pit, Mario, Link, and Samus went to the amusement park, and at the end, they just left him there |

That game was ****ed up. I played it. By the time I got to the sky area, it was friggin' easy. It actually gets easier the more you progress. |

And I still like it.
And at creepy, I never said it was hard, and yes Mario bros. pwns, even though I haven't beaten it. Got to world 7-1, though. |
