It's actually in the realm of posibility, at least. |
Hardly.
The Wii's hard drive is extremely small - certainly not large enough to hold downloadable characters. It might be able to hold, say, one, but it would take up a pretty sizable chunk of the memory. |

And yet, it can hold Paper Mario, Super Mario 64, and OOT all at once...
Is it a bit small? Yes. But, Nintendo always has a way of sneaking around with a suprise...it's just their style. That and 5,000 delays to their 1st-party titles. |

Here's another thing about Nintendo - they're always late to the party with technology...and even when they do catch, it's not exactly all that great. Case in point - Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. |

Wi-fi...it's just family-oriented. Nintendo's approach more than Nintendo's idiocy (though, as a biased fanboy, I hate to admit Nintendo has its bad moments...) is the reason for that. So, while you may have your reasons, Nintendo has theirs. However, Smash Bros. is an extremely popular game, and since it may be Mr. Sakurai's last one, Nintendo needs a bit of work in that respect.
I also take into account that Nintendo launches considerably less mainstream "hardcore" titles than its competitors. This would be a cheap and effective way to keep hardcore gamers in a false sense of satisfaction.
In summation...we could keep butting heads all day. Let's just say there's a chance, and that it's possible, and that we can just stop arguing and enjoy the product, hoping that extras will come. And even if they don't, let's smile the entire time. |

Maybe it'll turn out to be nothing more than Brawl's Version of the All-Star Mode. |
