Nothing with glowing eyes. At least, that's what Shy Guy ghosts look like without their masks. Ala Luigi's Mansion.
And I'd also love a Shy Guy partner, there's tons of possibilities with them for abilities and looks! They have to have one!
And as earlier mentioned, a Magikoopa would be neat, perhaps for the new Vivian-esque partner, since I doubt she'll make a return outside of a cameo.
And Chain Chomp would be hard to do, since they don't really talk, and only Bowser seems capable of truly taming them (unless he is once again on our side). Since, ya know, he had two Chain Chomp weapons in Super Mario RPG. |

Whacka ought to be a partner. He's a staple of the Paper Mario series! In each game, he'd be waiting for you to show up and beat him to death. What if you can bring one along? He could dig into the ground for an ability...? And in annd out of battle, you can hit him with your hammer. He has no defense, so it would take out a lot of HP if you are high-levelled, but you would get a Whacka Bump in return! Of course, the price of Whacka Bumps would go down in the game since you know have a constant supply of them... |

Even though I'd love to see a Shyguy as a partner, I chose Pirhana Plant. We've seen them talk (The Mindbogglers (or whatever) in the Glitz Pit), and it'd be interesting, having a Pirhana Plant join. I wonder what they could do with it... |
