*facepalm* It's not that mario never talks, it's that protaginists never talk! Nintendo wants it to be like YOU are the hero. This is why they only make sound effects for them. For example, in zelda games, YOU are the hero there! So what YOU say would be what the HERO says.
You may think 'Well, bowser, luigi, and peach talk in SPM.' And they do, but the game is not done like YOU are one of them, it is made like the hero. (Mario) Is you, but the others are not you. And I think he may have talked in luigi's mansion some. I never played that. Not to mention, in the VERY GAME we talk about here, he even has words to speak, like in the end. Note that in mario's adventure, luigi talks, but in luigi's mansion, Luigi doesn't really speak much, now does he? That is why mario does not speak.
By the way, the second luigi is not even a time paradox. The luigi you play as is really a new prototype created by rosalina for the second playthrough. The REAL luigi can't fight boos (lol boo+plural=booze) without being scared out of his wits, but here, luigi never gets scared.  |
