For years, the Demon Raven and his servants ravaged the Golden Crown Kingdom, decimating the land and devouring the hearts of the townspeople. The monstrous bird lord himself was rising in power with each stolen heart, and soon, nothing would be able to stop him from completely casting the kingdom- and the world- in the shadow of his massive wings...
One day, he launched a final attack on the castle. Prince Siegfried, the brave-hearted monarch of the region, rose up to fight him. Although his sword contained a magic that could release the hearts from the grasp of the ravens, even that was not powerful enough to strike down the Demon. And the Prince had fought himself right into a trap- for the Raven sought his powerful heart as the ultimate trump card.
In order to prevent this catastrophic event from happening, the Prince took his sword and stabbed himself through the heart, carving his core to pieces and scattering them to the far corners of the land.
The Prince and the Raven were opposites- powers of the good and evil within people. When the Prince shattered his heart, the Raven was affected as a result...The magics used by the conflicting forces caused both to suffer. The Prince, having lost his heart, now existed as a soulless shell of his former self. And the Raven was drained of the power he had stolen, and sealed away...
All traces of the Prince and the Demon bird vanished, and it was as if the entire ordeal had only been a memory...
...At least...For now.

In actuality, Fakir, the Prince's childhood friend and most trusted knight, had taken the heartless sovereign away from the castle, and hid with him in a remote village called Kinkan Town. Under the alias of Mytho, he lingers there, naught but a soulless husk longing for a purpose...
The danger of the Raven has not yet passed. He still exists, biding his time and power...And his servants still circle over the land, hunting the pieces of the Prince's heart.

Meanwhile, in that same town...
A young, simple duck lives in the lake near the village. Every day, the prince comes out, and, with no more reason in his life, simply dances away...And every day, the duck falls more and more in love with him.
But she now carries in her heart a deep sorrow, as well as love. As long as the Prince remains without his heart, he will never know happiness...
If only she could make him happy...

One day...Her wish seemingly comes true. A mysterious wizard who has been rumored to manipulate fate itself bestows upon her a gift: an enchanted pendant. The pendant not only gives her human form, but, when fueled by her love for the Prince, gives her power capable of restoring his heart...
...And it is a curse as well. For, if she ever tells the Prince of her true feelings...She will fade away, and become a duck once more- forever.

The pieces have fallen into place...
It is time for the tale of Princess Tutu to unfold.

Character Name: Stryker (will replace Ivan after I kill him off today. He is NOT related to Kenshi from mortal kombat, though.)
Personality: Confident in his other senses, not ashamed of his blindness, but pestered by those who constantly ask about it.
Strengths: Telekinesis, heightened senses
Weaknesses: Completely blind, cannot find what he cannot hear or sense.
Weapon: Katana, brass oil lantern
Story: Stryker explored an ancient temple for a special katana. The sword was of historical importance. The sword was inside an altar-like structure. Upon prying the sword off of the stone, he was blasted by an intense flash of light, which forever blinded him. Learning to adapt to his new disability, he trained until his other senses more than made up for his lack of sight was not a liability. After some time meditating with shaolin monks, he gained the power of telekinesis. He wanders the land now, looking for a reason to use his skills.

Story: A skellobit from the Underwhere, Skello has escaped to
try to make it big.

Character Name: Rain Hino (Heck, why not? She's one of those character templates I've grown attached to, I've used her before on other forums)
Personality: Spirited and curious, but also very fickle.
Strengths: As one of the "legendary-but-there's-a-lot-of-us-so-leave-us-the-crumpets-alone" winged maidens, she can fly and has an innate sense for danger.
Weaknesses: While spirited and talented, she's physically frail and often finds herself in situations where she'd probably pay heavily for making the wrong move.
Weapon: Her wings
Story: Rain loved to dance from when she was very, very little, and she heard that fine dancers were starting to show themselves all over Kinkan Town. Enchanted by the thought of learning how to be even better at the art than ever before, she packed her bags.

Character Name: Rye
Personality: Cool headed and fairly wise as well, unless money is involved...
Strengths: Very intelligent and able to speak with spirits of the dead under certain conditions.
Weaknesses: Physically, he is not very strong.
Weapon: Imported gun power from the eastern nations along with his homemade Flint Spark, in the form of a box as opposed to tongs, allow him to create powerful explosions. (I'm assuming the era we are in btw)
Story: Known in some circles as the Merchant of the Damned, it is said that he is on friendly terms with the Reaper himself. Some even go so far as to say he has a secret trade route that leads to the realm of the dead itself. Although he denies these claims himself, it is still an accepted fact that he has some connection with the dead. Rumors aside, he is a normal merchant that travels along the country side with his large bag of merchandise, looking for potential customers to sell his exotic wares to.

Character Name: The Mage Summoner (He is mostly called Mage or M.S. for short.)
Personality: Mostly emotionless and tries to be like he was a clone of a Mage he had revived.
Strengths: Very intelligent and able to revive magic users under certain conditions.
Weaknesses: Physically, he is not very strong which is why he summons clones of mages that were revived by him to attack.
Weapon: He carries the scythe.
Story: His true name is unknown for no one really knows much about him. During his life he had always wanted to be like a powerful mage he idolized. When he heard the mage had died by many stab wounds in the eye he felt miserable knowing his idol and evil hero was no longer alive.(Even Villains have a hero they idolize) One day the mage found a scythe with strange powers when he took hold of the scythe he could hear the voices of many mages that had died including his idol.

Name: Black Yoshi

Age: 23

Appearance: Black is tall and somewhat slender with somewhat long white hair. He wears black sunglasses and several different suits of armor-like robes. Him, while holding Elemental Sword and Magmas Shield.

Weapons: Carries different staves, but prefers to use his Destroyer Fire Staff. He also has a sword and shield, but rarely uses them.

Place of origin: Ascalon City, in the Kingdom of Ascalon.

Powers: Black is a skilled Elementalist, with mastery of every element but exceeding at Pyromancy. Black has developed several of his own and has access to a vast arsenal of Fire Magic spells. He also has a knack for raising Oozes, a strange creature found deep beneath the ground.

Personality: Black is socially inept outside of battle - he becomes shy and somewhat evasive when not in a combat situation. In battle, however, he takes command of the situation, shouting out orders and staying ontop of the situation.

History: Black originally ended up in the kingdom through a portal in The Mists - a universal dimension connecting all planes of existance. An avid rift traveller, Black ended up in the in a basement of an ancient house just outside the kingdom after passing through one of the many portals within The Mists.

Even before entering from The Mists, Black was an enemy of Princess Kraehe, who attempted to abduct him from the hall of his guild during a celebration. Since then, Black and his guild officers have set up a temporary base of operations within ths dimension in an attempt to prevent Kraehe from ever entering their world again.
