Quote: | Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios president Phil Harrison has announced his formal resignation from the company, due to go into effect on February 29. Sony officially broke word of his resignation this morning.
Taking his place will be SCEI president and group CEO Kazuo Hirai, who will assume Harrison's duties on top of his own. It's unknown at the moment whether Sony will begin seeking out a replacement for Harrison, or whether Hirai's full-time responsibilities will engulf those of the former Worldwide Studios president.
First joining Sony back in 1992, Phil Harrison helped launch the first Playstation console, and has since played a major role in SCE's business, including presenting Sony's landmark keynote at last year's GDC. In a public statement, Harrison states that he is incredibly grateful to his "Playstation family," and will continue to support the platform and company in the future. |

People leave executive positions all the time. After proving himself (with the success of the Playstations), he is offered some new phat job somewhere else. I'm not sure what impact, if any, this will have on the future of the Sony Playstation 3. Sony still has a plenty of other execs that continue to talk BS.
I am not biased. I'm just saying that if you are going to post something like its a big deal, you should explain why its a big deal. |

I never said you were biased, and this guy was pretty famous. Do you know him? or is this the first time you heard of him? |

I have heard of him. But I think that this news here at a mostly Nintendo-owning site doesnt mean much, and many people here probably don't know who he is. That is why I said you should expound upon this news more, instead of just copypasting the news article. Maybe this is huge news to Playstation fans, I dont know. If Shiggy or Reggie were to leave Nintendo, now THAT would be HUGE news. |

Exactly. So if you where a bit biased, you would lean more to nintendo news, and not not Xbox or Playstation news. if Reggie left (which I dont care myself), you'd go crazy. although its nothing to playstation/xbox fans. Its the same case to Phil Harrison. He left, and its HUGE to playstation fans, and maybe not nintendo/xbox fans. Get my point? maybe this update wasn't meant for you |

But...
Phil Harrison, he knew best except he didn't beta test sure, M'aiq can surf the net but he can't find his gaming friends.
He said "Halo 3, don't worry you" instead he offered Killzone 2 but Killzone 1 sucked before what made him think we wanted more? |

Changing "How to kill a brands" lyrics = fail.
Killzone is not as good as Halo, but its a good game. Sure, um, Maiq can't find your gaming friends? um, yeah, do you HAVE a PS3? |
