His Boomerang is actually better than Link's - it actually does damage on the way back.
Also, normal Link's Spin Attack is chargeable, too. Just saying. |

Indeed, Toon Link is Link with the fast forward button hit, and in High-Definition. I will obviously change my mains sig once I have unlocked everyone in Brawl. |

And I agree, Wavedashing was...well, pathetic and a waste of time.
The only reason I thought the Cartwheel could be different was because it was Diddy's primary attack in the Donkey Kong Country series. I suppose you could call it the equivilant to my expectations for Link's Spin Attack, but I digress...
Moving to other characters, Mr Game & Watch actually seems...well, competitively playable now. |
No problem! And Game and Watch was sadly, ignored by many. Thankfully Sakurai improved him in almost every single ways possible, such as recovery and power, and probably speed. And after many thinkings, I decided to also main Toon Link. He is very speedy and also has a lot of power if you use him right. His bombs and boomerangs are useful for starting combos, thanks to his speed. He is one of those power and speed balanced character, kinda like Mario. Link...well he's still buffed up a lot from melee, he's a lot stronger than before for sure, and a bit faster. His up B is actually a buff if charged fully. Still Toon Link is a better version of the two, but actually my brother mains Link and he's pretty good with him, like almost pro. It seems that not many uses Fox/Falco here, anyone planning to main this Fox/Falco, or perhaps even Wolf? |

Wolf or Falco. For some reason Falco just seemed like a better character than Fox in Melee. Wolf is not just a Fox Clone, his moves are different. He has a Falcon Kick-ish attack, and Falcon Kick is one of my favorite moves. Captain Falcon + Tiny Melee = OWNAGE. Wolf also has increased power with his blaster, and his Up-B is almost instantaneous from what I have seen. |

wolf is still a little mysterious as far as i can tell because i've seen very little footage of actual battle with him. i do belive his blaster shots are bigger than fox's or falco's which more than likely means more powerful but i've yet to see something "falcon kick-ish" about him. hmmmmm........still unsure |
