As we all know, Gamestop had a SSB tournament accompanying the midnight launch. As per rules, MoteChuck combos were used and randomized characters were abound.
Fun.
I for one got paired with Samus, horrible nerfs and all. I had know chance against Metaknight. NO CHANCE. |

Also everyone with Olimar won every single one of their matches in the first round, except for the semi-finals. Want to know why? It was Olimar vs Olimar. XD |

I HATE GAMESTOP! They didn't tell us we had to use WiiMote and Nunchuck! The guy at the store even told me to bring my Cube controller! Well, it was really fun anyways. There were a ton of Foxes and Marios. Also, everytime a Smashball appeared, Fox got it and every was shouting LANDMASTER! It was crazy. Oh yeah, Mario won. |

I didn't get to participate in any tourney.
My Gamestop was advertising a midnight release and the tourney, but they didn't have either one. I should have complained. |

Well, I ended up using Marth through the whole thing, made it to the third round, but I came close in the Elimination Round, on account of the fact that there was five remaining combatants, counting myself. |

You could use MARTH?! 
Anyway, I chose Wario. I didn't know that the time limit would be set at 1:00, so I was pretty much screwed from the beginning (no Wario Waft potential). Also, I had my heart set on using A and B together for Smash Attacks, which obviously didn't work. Basically, all I did was survive, hit Zelda with a single Shoulder Ram, and lose. 
BTW, Zelda and Link were easily the most popular. Tons of lil' ones in my division. |
