SSE is just a Kirby game. You know that right? I mean everything from the enemies to the level design. It's Kirby, but with Brawl Characters. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, I'm just hoping I'm not the only one who noticed.

I mean HAL made it so, it makes sense.

Yeah, I was thinking about that earlier, as well. It brought back memories...

Besides the disappointing fact that when you play as Kirby, you can't really do anything with the Copy ability...

I was thinking the same thing... the Primids especially have abilities like KSS enemies. Fire, Fighter, Cutter, and Beam all share an attack with a Primid.

*Is angry they removed the earthbound masterpiece from english version*

Anyway, yeah it feels like a kirby game, because it was practically made by the same person who makes kirby games.

And this is a good thing.

Agreed about the creepiness, but I never played earthbound.

And popple, also note that sakurai gave the kirby characters lead roles. WHO saves the princess that ends up changing the whole rest of the game? Kirby. WHO Gives Luigi, and Ness badges that end up reviving them from trophyness? Dedede. WHO'S ship is in the game as the main ship for the bad guys? Meta Knight's. WHO ends up eating a dedede badge on accident, and becoming practically the main character in subspace, because of that? Kirby.

WHO gets launched out of a flying stadium? Puny little mario.

WHO gets turned dark in the game? Both princesses. Puny people. Diddy too.

WHO only has a bad guy role, and barely anything else? Wario, bowser, and Ganny.

Where I'm going is, Kirby characters are given much better roles in the game. Sakurai did not do this on purpose. He just did because he wanted his own creations to be great, somewhere in the back of his great mind. It just happened, I would assume.

I think several characters in 2D walking games as Super Mario bros. and Sonic the hedgehog get their adventure stage more like in their own games.

But there are also elements taken from other games that are used frequently. For example, the Rocket Barrels are from Donkey Kong Country.

I felt a rush of nostalgia when I saw that.

Agreed about the creepiness, but I never played earthbound.

Imagine your greatest fear personified in the form of a distorted, blood red soul, reciting lines from a *crag* scene in a movie the creator of the game walked in on,saying your name repeatedly inbetween.

That's Giygas.

Spoiler'd for Urfbound boss description.

There is only one thing I've found in the series that was creepier than that. And that's the infamous "Demonic giygas/claus" scene that was cut from Mother 3.
