I was in The Great Maze(which I hate) when I got to Meta Ridley. I was like, "Ok, this will be easy like the first time." I got game overs so many times about more than half of them overall were from Meta Ridley in The Great Maze.
Also: This is why I havent beaten SSE. Hour and a half and not done with TGM. |

Yeah...I can't beat it either. It's not that I get game overs, but I can't find any more of those shadowy door things, and I swear I must've gone to every room at least twice. -.o |

Look up the map in the pause menu. It will have signs on where the enemies are. |

Some are crazy hard to find, and you really have to know it's there already to get it. |
