I was bored. I felt like writing about Ki, who you'll probably only know from RPOT. :< I made a really long thing about her and stuff...from relationships to comics to development. Yay.

So yeah.

Character Development/History: 2007-Present

It all started not too long before SPM came out. I was bored, and needed a new character to RP with. So, boring as I am, I decided to make her a random human named Kineta kidnapped into the Marioverse by Tayl, who'll end up with her own topic after this. But that idea I felt was far too overused. However, that origination was built upon later...

I poked around with a few more ideas for a species, ranging from Cragnons to Toads. I settled on making her the same species as Mimi, to suit her shapeshifting needs. Plus, she'd be simple to draw. If she was that complex, I wouldn't have the patience to draw her every panel lol duh.

So, she maintained a simple personality; a bold and slightly insane shapeshifter.

After her first two comics, "The Shapeshifter & The Nimbi (Lol Uncreative)" (TSaTN) and Ki Tiem (KT), she started developing a bit more. Seeing as Bombette and Bunny took the place of the insane half of the group, Ki became slightly more sane and mature, but I made sure to make a reason behind it.

Her major personality change from the insanity-loving Francis-phobic to the leader of the group with a troubled past was supposed to begin in Super Paper Ki (SPK), but the comic was canceled before Chapter 2 began for lack of interest. Lol.

Then I started my current project, "Ki and the Fragmented Star" (KatFS). When the Star Rod shatters to pieces, Ki springs into action, with the help of the demented Bunny, and the newcomers she meets on the way. But it seems like the entire thing is a setup for a reunion for the cat we all love/hate...

KiTayl picks up where KatFS leaves off, basically showing Ki's past as Narelle. Omgyay.

Personality

Ki is known for her fear of Francis and her love for Arsenious Cookies.

Although she's depicted as a lover of insanity, she seems incredibly sane compared to the severely demented Bunny, who she encounters multiple times in the comics, which I should really type up someday.

Ki is also usually the leader, and dislikes not being the "main" character. She tends to follow the "Ignorance is Bliss" theme when faced with danger, being the overconfident person she is. This ends up getting her into more trouble than she was originally in, but she always ends up getting into it. Whether it's shapeshifting, pizza prank calls, or using her own "talents", Ki tends to know exactly what to do. Sometimes. o.o

Just in case you were wondering, Ki first gained her fear of Francis in TNaTS, in which Luvbi used her as a distraction to steal "something" from Francis. Ki was mentally disturbed beyond belief, and that was just the outfit. Poor Ki.

Relationships

Luvbi: Ki first appeared to Luvbi to escort her back to The Overthere in TNaTS for no apparent reason lol. Despite the fact that they bonded a bit over those 10 Chapters (as seen with Ki's sadness in the final chapter), Ki still hasn't forgiven her for making her be the distraction back in Fort Francis...

Bombette: When Ki and Bombette appeared together in Ki Tiem, they apparently already knew each other. Bombette took Ki's role as the insane half of the duo, as evidenced when she thought the SD stood for Self Defense rather than Self Destruct. They were sailing on a boat at the time, so...it sank.

Bunny: Ki and Bunny become more equally insane in KatFS. Bunny starts reminding Ki to stay on track, and Ki is disturbed by the fact that Bunny has the desire for universal domination. But perhaps Moki is more disturbed than Ki is, and learns to fear bunnies.

Tayl/Niya Mitsu: This has the potential to be multiple paragraphs long, so I'm just going to summarize quick, mm'kay? Tayl and Ki don't like at each other. :<

Eni/Enya Pyrene: See above. Except, Eni and Ki used to be friends, but they went through that whole "best friend becomes your enemy" thing. :| Eni is the last of her kind, a Pyro Boo.

Alessa Miora: Alessa was created to take the role of Luigi in SPK. Ki and Alessa are close friends, for they have similar personalities. Alessa is just as cocky as Ki is, except Alessa usually ends up losing in every chapter she appears in. Lol.

Vitali T.: When Ki first came to Toad Town, Vita was the first person she met. They became fast friends, and Vita helped Ki get settled in. She's the owner of the Poshley Hotel, but relocated to Toad Town.

Teh Flavorizer: Ki first met Teh Flavorizer being chased by "Ms. A", if you can guess who that is. After that, they didn't meet again until KatFS.

Nee: Nee doesn't know Ki too well, but they don't appear to be enemies until SPK. She resembles Nastasia in several ways.

Feya: Feya, a Subcon (the species from Subcon), first meets Ki in KatFS on a subconscious level, but only to warn her of the true purpose of her quest. Due to certain complications, she loses contact with Ki, and Ki takes a detour for Subcon before going to Star Haven.

Moki: Moki is a Flori from Flora Town rescued by Ki from the Milde Horde in Chapter Two of KatFS. They become friends, and after Ki rescues her best friend from being Sprout'd into the Milde Horde, Moki feels the need to tell Ki "The Truth". Moki never gets the chance after an attack by Eni.

Squeechy: Ki is unable to understand Squeechy's, who's a strange mix between a Squirpian and a Blooper, language. So they don't interact much.

Doru: Ki and Doru don't get along well; both of them being obsessively competitive. Ki first met the Bob-Omb in KatFS, and only required his help for a short time.

Princess Cerise: Ki met Cerise in Ceri-Cherry Castle to retrieve a Star Rod piece. The Cherrian Princess attempted to explain Ki's purpose, but was too late to finish, and Ki was left hanging.

Princess Narika: Ki met Narika in the Nika-Mist Castle for the same purpose as Cerise. When she comes searching for answers, the Mistiian Princess refuses to reply, claiming that it would break the "rules". Ki decides to move on, a bit more serious about her quest.

Tipbot: Tipbot, the failed prototype of Tiptron, meets Ki in KatFS. Ki ends up going into a coma due to Tipbot's association with Francis. Lol.

Yuuchu: Yuuchu and Ki met in Auri City, a land of blizzards and ice. Yuuchu seems to know everything about Ki, which forces Ki to realize that all of her partners had a connection with her. Ki attempts to mention it, but ultimately decides not to, recalling the fates of her other partners.

Lun: Lun and Ki only meet briefly, to claim a Star Rod Piece on the Moon. However, Lun tells her as much as he can about Ki's quest, which isn't much before Bunny turns against Ki and "stops" Lun. Ki is forced away, making her complete the quest on her own...

Cookie: Ki met Cookie waaaaay back in TNaTS. While in Fort Francis, Ki orders Cookie to get her a cookie. However, Ki left the Fort before Cookie returned with the cookie. The Shapeshifter and the Meowmaid met again near the end of KatFS. Naming the Meowmaid Cookie, Ki accepts the cookie, and Cookie becomes her last partner. Despite Cookie's loyalty to Francis, Ki has greater respect for Cookie than Tipbot. Maybe it was the cookie...lol cookie.

Francis: Francis-phobia. 'Nuff said.

So yeah. There's my giant wall of text about Ki. Everything you'll need to know, if you were ever interested. I'll put up the avatar Mimi (lol inactive member) made for me, and my crappy Ki sprite up later.

I'll probably start typing up Ki and the Fragmented Star tomorrow. It should have about 15 Chapters, including the Prologue and Epilogue. ^-^

Oh, and I tried not to overdo the Relationships, because then they'd be spoilery with an extra serving of spoiler sauce. Mmm.
