On the Shadow bugs trophy, it says something like:
"The mysterious substance inside Mr. Game and Watch can be extracted endlessly. Once Tabuu realized this, he used Mr. Game and Watch to create the subspace army."

Well if you want to get technical, I suppose that if Nintendo never made the G&W there is a chance the NES wouldn't have been made due to lack of funds. That's just me looking for hidden meaning in that though.
At least it explains why he was there. |
