So, some individuals in the Digibutter populace are either suffering or have suffered from depression of some kind. Who among you has... and if you've gotten out of depression, HOW did you do it?

I'd really like to know...

I just went along and ignored the problems, even if it grows and tries to get the best of me, just keep moving along.

Online Games. TF2 mostly. But now my computer is broken so this is no longer an option.

I dunno, I suppose I could help if you were a bit more specific. I'm pretty good at stuff like this.

You know how I deal with depression, running away hiding behind my "spam shield" Random but predictable acts of stupidity. I run away from my problems only causing more depression. when I decided to stop running from myself. my life became a lot brighter in the long run. Mind you facing yourself everything gets darker... before you see the light.

I still regress at times. but for the most part I'm able to talk out my problems. sometimes by following my own advice. Ironically enough. Though I'm afraid you have fallen victim to my Self advice giving on more than one occasion. =/ (hopefully it helped you as much if not more than me.)

So... I went far enough on Friday night to cut myself, just on the left palm. Though my original consideration was suicide. Totally emo, yeah... for some reason I wanted pain. At school I'd considered throwing myself off from the high bleachers. At home I'd toyed throughout the week with that same knife, considering but too scared always at the end. I really have problems... but I probably shouldn't. The reasons why... one has to do with who I feel I really am... of course I wish people would treat me as how I feel I am... I was also hating myself... the impulses for self-harm really scared me. I was hating myself for various reasons, but I'm trying to let go of this. I'd always fall back into a depression. And... scare people, as well as myself. I felt pretty weak, and I probably was. I'm trying to be stronger now. I'm hoping I'm going to do better.

I just learned to be bitter towards most people, and society as whole. It helps.

For you, perhaps, but I really don't want to house any ill feeling.

I was really depressed in middle school. If that's where you are right now, trust me it gets better. However, it sometimes continues into high school. In 9th grade I had a friend who tried to kill herself, but I talked her out of it. Ever since I got to high school, I've been a really happy person because life has been great and she got over it too.

I think the best thing to do is either a complete life change (friends, attitudes, and maybe some after school stuff), or else just try to find the things in life that make you happy and stick with them, or just think of them whenever you're in a situation that makes you unhappy.

I'm very sorry to hear what has happened to you, and if you want to talk you can always PM me.

Well in your situation as I see it now, excuse me as I'm assuming a lot by the way, I see little option. You are different, and our modern society rejects you for standing out. In reality, most people don't seem to mature socially after High School. At say about seventy percent of Americans, if not more, base their opinion of someone solely off of appearance and social statues. If you want to be the person you truly feel that you must be, then you will sadly have to case aside many people.

K, I'm done.

I may cast them aside, but I won't be angry towards them. I'll still care about them, and that's why it will hurt.

And thank you mikeytrend... I will remember... it's actually my last year of high school though...

Well, that's sort of a good thing. Just hold out a little longer because college will be a fresh start!

I've been there many times. But, it's just that at night I'm extremely temperamental, and overnight it's all gone.
