Today's music? I personally like any type of Metal, as long as it isn't that poser Metal. I absolutely hate Pop Music. I could make better music by eating a lot of spicy food, going to the bathroom for 20 minutes, and groan while taking a constipated dump. I especially hate the Jonas fags. Their music is so simple, even I could play it, and I can't play guitar. They also need a guest guitarist for the SOLE purpose of playing a solo they can't do. They also have a tambourine-ist and a keyboardist. The tambourine-ist can't play the thing for shit, but give me a tambourine, and I'll play you Carmen. They keyboardist actually needs to have custom lights built in to the keyboard so he knows what keys to hit. Their singer sounds like Britney Spears, and their guitarist plays the same 2 chords over and over and over and over. They don't even have a bassist or a drummer, IIRC. They mostly just cover songs and make them sucky, and they songs they write have no more than a few different notes.
Their thought on a solo is when every instrument is playing.
All they are are emo posers, who charge about $100 for a ticket. Crazed nag and nag their parents until they take them. All parents need to do is; 1.) Cloth you. 2.) Feed you and give you something to drink. 3.) Provide you with shelter. Anything else, you don't need.
All you ever have to do is sign up with Disney, and you're the *crag* king of the *crag* world. Disney makes kids think ANYTHING is possible, which is false. Have you seen a wimpy, pasty, white nerd win in a bodybuilding contest against huge musclemen? I think not. The truth is, your a failure. The only way to prove your not a failure is by working hard, and getting a job in the real world.
Well, some people might say, "But, Nick has diabetes!" BOO! *crag*! HOO! Many bands have had players with diabetes, but they weren't popular for that, no. They were popular because their music rawked.
If anyone here has begged and pleeded and cried just so they could get what they want, you should be ashamed of your self. Most of my stuff are hand-me-downs, (TVs, computers, gaming systems, etc.)
If you do like the Jonas Brothers, give me 5 good reasons while you like them, and, no. It can't be, "They're hot," or, "Nick has diabetes!" No.
I know I got really off-topic with that rant, but... yeah... discuss. |

I like a lot of music. I'll tell you what I hate: *Rap. WTF? Just speedy rhymes. Save it for nurseries, idiots. *HANNAH FRIGGIN MONTANA. Kid, you have no damn talent AT ALL. * Songs that make fun of gay people. Look at Queen, damn it. They own you AND are gay. *JONAS BROTHERS. Diabetes? I don't really damn care. Get good, or not play. *LOVE SONGS. Really, more like "Stalker Songs" Stalk this, you think it's romantic? It's friggin spying. *HSM. Just no. *Completely happy songs. No. The only song that pulled being happy the whole time was "The best day ever *Sorta*" And "HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY"
But, I do like themes for shows. Any kind, really. I did'nt watch Samurai Jack, but the song was catchy. |

I'll have to disagree with rap and Hannah Montana.
Yes, HM does have no talent, but at least her songs promote a positive message for children to listen to. (And they're catchy. You get someone to start listening to the CD and they can't stop. >3 I honestly think I got brainwashed into being a Hannah Montana lover by being around six year olds for a long time.)
As for rap, speedy rhymes are actually REALLY hard to do. Could you do it? No? 'Kay, then don't diss it. Personally, I hate listening to rap because the lyrics are so misogynistic and glorify violence. But any rap musician who DOESN'T sing about guns and bling and hos, I greatly enjoy. Because the style of music takes a lot of talent, and it goes back well into black history, the rhythms are catchy and it's very interesting. |

But it's also to be noted that if it was all rhymes, it'd be just someone singing; but, no, it has a rhythm. And, I must say, some rappers do a great job with that.
Personally, my taste on music is that: I listen to anything I find awesome. I don't hold disgust for any particular rhythm, I could even listen to emo music if I ever found one awesome.
Also, music has a magic influence on yourself. If you have an emotion built to the extreme, a music with a matching rhythm can bump it even further; for example, if you are angry to the point of punching a hole into the wall, music like aggresive metal could even make you the whole place down. It's also great for concentration requiring work, like writing; if you match it to the situation, it does wonders. If at the writing of climax of the scene you are listening to a tense music, chances are you can work much better on it. Of course, there's also the disconcentraring music; but they can be just avoided. |

I like most times of music. Although Game Music still stands out as the best in my opinon.
Well, except for rap. I absolutely hate almost every rap song with fully. Unless it somehow appeals to me, I'm generally not interested in it. |

I either like most music, or dislike most music. I'm rather picky, you see.
I don't like any specific genre; my tastes are rather widespread... I dislike rap (and most hip-hop), though. Actually, I hate it with a passion. >_>; |

I don't really give a *crag* about the genre, as long as the music has good lyric that carry some sort of message to it. Something I can relate to, and think to.
