Faster. That is all.

You may have a powerful guy here named Link, more powerful then our friend Toon Link. However, Toon Link is faster. Which is better depending on what kind of character you like. Toon link is Lighter. Easier to recover. Toon Link has a ending blow to his spin attack. Toon Link's bow shoots farther. Toon Link's boomerang does more damage. Toon link is awesome. Toon Link, is better.

That is all.

You can't really say one character is better than another, but I see your point. I'm like them both equally, because Toon Link deals massive damage but has almost no finishing moves, and Link deals a lot of damage and is quite a bit better at finishing enemies.

But personally, I could care less about movement speed. Look at Sonic. He has twice the movement speed of any other character, yet that doesn't really affect much. the only thing I use movement speed for is for attacking projectile-spammers and getting items. Movement speed is seriously overrated.

Toon link would be higher up on my list of mains if he just had more knockback. His knockback is the reason I can only beat that one event where you have to kill those 2 Yoshis while in the sky, on easy. He might have some really unexpected move that has great knockback, like Metaknight, but I can't find one.

Toon link has a secret finishing move, his ONLY decent finishing move. And it's a move people would use alot anyway, they just don't do the move RIGHT.

And I'm not telling anyone incase they don't know. It really is a trump card that makes him a great character. Without it, you have to rely on the down air, which though good, isn't as good as the finishing slash, as I call it.

It's not really THAT secret, lol.

And as cfwf so wisely put, Toon Link is cuter.

Seriously though, I'm an antitierist and think you can do good with anyone, but out of preference I still like playing Toon Link more. He can still do decent damage, and his speed is indeed excellent.

really, I think no character is better than one another. Heres why I think so.
People have mains because that character matches their play style, and therefore, they are really good with that character. Its like skills that makes them main a character. I mean, my older brother's mains Link as one of his mains, and he's REALLY good with him, like equally to my Toon Link. If Link was used right, then he could easily beat Toon Link.
really, today I faced one of my friend, I was Jiggly and he was Marth, and I beat him, when I thought Marth had the advantage. I was wrong, there are no advantages.

It's like Colonel said to Snake in the Codec about a Snake Double:

"Even though you're evenly matched in power, Fighting tactics are all that matter!"

Or something like that.
