...nope, he's not. I can name ten characters that most people are much better with at an instant. As stated before, MK can't finish without an item, his Final Smash is little better than a barely-charged hammer thwack from Dedede, and he has absolutely no projectiles. His defensive Dimmension Cape is also just...bad. His redeeming quality would be his side special, but it has no KO potential, destroying pretty much anything hopeful.
Give Wario, Toon Link, Ike...heck, even King Dedede a good human player and a few minutes, and Meta Knight will go down.
With more powerful moves, the momentum of MK's attacks is seriously damaged to the point of it being awful. Also...I'm bad with small, easy to KO characters, so... |

Jeeze, what the hell do you want, that nobody uses Ike/Marth ever and then they become just a waste of space at Brawl, just because you find them overpowered?

I have to agree with the FS sucking, but then again, how many good characters have sucky Final Smashes? You list according to your preference. But I say a lot.
Also, defying what many people think, it's NOT impossible to knock foes away using Meta with no items. His Mach Tornado can send foes flying.
And if you give any of these characters a good human, it doesn't necessarily mean they win. What if Meta has a much better human? |

Toon Link's just "floaty". I'm talking about characters like Kirby, Jiggly, and Meta Knight.
And I use Ike casually. I much prefer Mr Game & Watch, Wario, and Donkey Kong.
Back on topic, Meta Knight is an average character, and that's saying he's pretty bad. He's barely better than Mario in my opinion, who is pretty...er...weak without the easy Mario Tornado.
And as for you, CFH, I did list those characters out of preference. However, there's only one other character that I can think of that has a just plain awful Final Smash, and that's King Dedede and his easy-to-avoid army. And I gave a despirate effort to use Meta Knight and failed miserably (and over hours, not minutes, of trying).
And the Mach Tornado still requires quite a lot of damage to KO. |

I didn't say you did. I mean, there are the good characters with sucky FS, and you can list how many of these are there according to your preference.
Well, then, you can't do well with Meta. It's perfectly understandable. I can't stand Luigi and Ice Climbers, but I see them get mained every so often.
And, even if it does take a lot of damage, this is where the speed comes into play. Kick the damage up as fast as you can, then finish with a Mach Tornado. |

Well actually my older brother's one of his secondary is Meta Knight, and he does know how to use him right actually. It took a lot of practices, but eventually he found some combos for MK. His attacking speed should make up for his power. This one match, My bro's MK vs. My King Dedede, it wasn't easy to land a KO to him because of MK's speed, and he also does have decent throws. And yes eventually I won but that wasn't because MK was weak, it was a long and good match. The way my brother use him...whenever I'm in the air, he air combos me, making it hard to recover. And theres that Shuttle Loop, his strongest kill move, but my brother only use it when he needs to so not much to say there. As for Mach Tornado, just keep tapping on the button.
His Forward tilt is also a bit useful if you ask me.
Heck, guys try watching 2 level 9 Meta Knights battling. When I saw one, I was sorta impressed the way the computer handled Meta Knight. That one CPU match kinda inspired my brother to secondary him. And I'm pretty sure there are some MK mains out there.
The thing that I'm trying to say is...don't say a character is weak just because he has almost no killing potentials. There is always something to make up for it, and his super speedy attack is that. Personally, I think he's a great character if used right. A n00b using MK...tends to spam his side B A LOT. And as CFH stated, rack up damage with his speedy attacks, then finish your foe off with a move when your foe is at the right percentage.
I'll admit its hard to beat my brother's MK, the only character that I can easily defeat his MK is my Marth. |

agreed.
same with Marth, it takes skills to beat a Marth player. Heck my brother main mains Ike and I main main Marth, and we're both equally really good with them, so its really hard to tell who'll win the battle when we use them. A really skilled Ike, and really, any character can defeat Marth. |

Ike and Marth are both considered over powered. >_>
Also me and hario did a test about ike. almost noone can beat him. only fox adn falco could. according to chaos dimentio, toon link can beat him too.
marth and lucas were really close.
marth killed himself with a dodged Final smash (I aethered right over him, it was epic.) |
