It'd be hard enough to make a gimmick, but here's what I think. It should give you a template for each stage, of which you can recreate.That way, gimmics wouldn't be so difficult to make. E.g. New pork city template comes with stuff seen on new pork city, a new pork city background, a large terrace, and ultimate chimera. |

being able to change the stage. like with castle seige it changes from outside a castle to inside of it. |

Items or characters that always apear at the same place.
For example, I made a level that looks kinda like Donkey Kong (The Nes game), and maybe there could of been an option where you can put Donkey kong at the top, and hammers near the sides. Instead of donkey kong being a playable character, he could throw barrels. |

Evironment pieces that don't suck.
Block big enough so only crawling characters can go under them.
BGs that change throughout the brawl.
Moving traps, like Gordos in Kirby.
Spikes that fall from the ceiling like in SSE.
One way doors.
Item spawn points.
Player Spawn points.
Larger moving platforms.
Fire, water, floor effects etc.
Change color of pieces.
Incorporate snapshots as either backgrounds or they can be placed in the stage.
I'll probably think of more. |

The best options would be water and selecting where the players would show up.
But, Stage Builder is already pretty good. |
