Especailly for certain ages.

There are alot of teens whose internet use is monitered by their parents. If those parents see some of the content on this sight (easily by some sigs) then that member is toast.

I have a sister. An evil sister. Who likes to read over my shoulder. She tried to when someone had posted an inaproppriate image that I closed out. I told her to go away because she couldn't see the stuff on the site.

"OMG!!@111! YOUR ON PORN AND BAD STOOF. THAT'S A BAD SITE!!!11!"

So, in the car one morning, she tells my mom.

Sis: That site Bekah has been on, it's bad!
Mom: Why?
Sis: it says bad words.
Mom: Like what?"
Sis: Like the "S" word.
Mom: What?
Sis: THe S-E-X word. (I almost laughed it was so patheltic).
Mom: What did it say?
Sis: It said S-E-X! Bekah won't let me read it.
Me: Because it's illegal. You have to be 13 to read it. It's U.S. Law!

I managed to slip out of this one, but if my sis/mom sees anything like this. I'm toast. So I was wondering if we could make an advanced censoring option. So it blocks out all "bad" words. Just like a check box in your profile or something. It's easier than customization and will help alot. I know alot of people are in the same situation.

Hm, I guess this would be helpful for members who are easily offended/in a swear-sensitive environment.

Yes. So, unlike previous ideas, you don't use as much memory or stuff by having each user have their own censoring options.

This way body parts and most content will be blocked, and the only thing we have to wory about is pictures.

This is mostly just myself asking, because I'm really scared that my mom/sister/grandma is going to kick me off D:

Good idea... I don't want to force censorship on everyone, but having it so you can "opt-in" is a great alternative. I could even block images in a way that they won't automatically appear when the page loads. Like maybe you hover over the image to get a small preview, and click to see the whole image.

Yes! :3 I happy now.

The picture thing is great, as long as you keep the avatars. Few people have mature avs, so that's fine.
