I forgot to write a review on the last few movies I saw, so I'm writing one now. Some people I knew wanted to go see this movie, so I just tagged along.
Animation: Pretty good, standard movie animation these days. Nothing extremely out of the blue though. 9/10
Voice Acting: Great. Jim Carell's voice was amazing as the Mayor. 9.5/10
Plot: The plot was very similar to the book, but the way they changed small details was great. It didn't seem very different from the book. 9/10
Humor: Well, considering it was a G rating, the humor was pretty funny. Not the funniest ever, but they did a good job with this. 10/10
Rating: I put this in because the movie was allowed for little kids. I saw nothing wrong with it, besides the animated violence that wasn't that violent. The only 'dirty' joke was where a fishbowl hit the mayor in the crotch. But that's it. 9/10
Overall: I can see why this movie is getting so much praise. It's actually a great movie for all ages, but don't go here if you're expecting an action movie. 9.5/10
I recommend this movie.I know this review sucks..

Whenever I saw the advertising posters, I suddenly had an increasingly strong urge to rip somebodys head off.
Cartoons get more and more annoying and stupid. Now I know why people used to blame TV for people who were f*cked up. It's arrogant to say, but... I've grown out of most conventional TV series. I always see the errors. Maybe the website was right, and TV Tropes Will Ruin Your Life. |
