I got to Tabuu on Boss Battles (Very Hard), got his life bar down to about half, and got KO'd.

Boss Battles is starting to frustrate me.

What characters/strategies are you best with on high difficulties?

I heard going with pokemon trainer and using Charizard is a great way to beat boss battles on the higher difficulties.

I beat Very Hard with Toon Link. He can beat six bosses (Ridley, Meta Ridley, Master Hand, Crazy Hand, Petey Piranha, and Tabuu) without ever taking a hit, and makes Porky pretty easy. That just leaves Rayquaza (who's a pain no matter who you use), Duon (who is just plain mean if you have no reflector), and Galleom (who can be subdued with projectiles).

Intense...my best record is 7 with Charizard and 6 with Wolf.

I can actually do really well with marth. It only took me three tries to beat it on very hard, and I've reached tabuu twice on intense with him. Just counter like the dickens and keep slashing in the air.

Also, learn to dodge.

I find lucario useful. Even if you spam his uncharged shots at high damage, It can rack up damage pretty fast, along with his Dair
