This is not a review of a game, it's a review of a movie about a game.
King of Kong: Fist Full of Quarters (imdb info) is a documentary about classic gaming highscore records, and more specifically, the Donkey Kong highscore. It revolves around two men: one who plays professionally and has many world records which backs up his cocky attitude; and one who is the underdog, a kind and humble family man that decides that beating and keeping the Donkey Kong highscore will be the last of his series of failures.
The movie does a good job of exploring the classic arcade sub-culture and the dedication and skill it takes to reach these world records. Even if you are not interested in the subject matter, this documentary is still a great and inspiring movie. Every character is fun to watch and the story is engaging from start to end. You will laugh, cry, and cheer. I'm not sure how I never heard of this when it released last year, but more people need to watch this. Highly recommended to anyone, but especially to those who like classic arcade games.
