Honestly, I think anyone would be crazy to be a moderator. Just looking at the current ones jobs, I can see that's it's not something that's fun. It's about keeping order, even if it means having to strike/jail your best friends. It's tough, and it's not all fun and games.

Yes there is always positives sides to a mod position. You have more power, more respect. Members are less likely to poke at you.

But with it comes responsibility. You can't just ben someone for calling you a *crag* whatever. You can't jail or strike or overreact, but you can't let things just slip on by. You have to be impartial with decisions on punishment, and it isn't always easy.

It's possible that you could cave in under pressure, slack off, whatever. That would always stink :/ You have to keep going, stick with the job, mod status isn't something that comes and goes. You have to weld it well.

A mod should still have fun with the rest of the members, but of course, when the time comes to stick one's foot down, you have to, even if you don't want to.

But strikes shouldn't be issued without reason or warning. In my opinion, topics should be locked after the mod posts why he/she is locking it. You should learn from mistakes, and when you don't know what it is, it's sort of hard to realize what you did wrong. If the situation isn't bad enough for a mod to take action, a warning to those involved asking them to stop would be a great thing to do.

But the thing is, it's impossible to do all of these things, and the rest that's required as a moderator. But people expect you to fufill these. It sucks. It just plain sucks. Everyone will mess up at one time. I'm not going to give examples, but perhaps you remember some minor events of our mods (not blaming you guys or anything, you guys have made few mistakes and your good traits have always greatly outweighted the bad), or moderators of other forums.

I am accepting this responsibility. I WILL mess up, and as sure as your pants are on (ok scratch that....) I will probably have to ask for help. I have little experience as a mod or any higher position other than a member, but keep in mind that I have never been jailed, never been striked, and never been involved in a "bad topic."

DON'T YOU DARE SAY IT'S BECAUSE I'M NOT ON! Does post count matter? Or is it the quality of those posts. Most of my posts are a paragraph in length (plus I tend to keep out of off-topic) and I am on nearly EVERY SINGLE DAY! Check the active member list on the bottom. I'm on it, no? I love this site, probably a bit too much, and I'm ready to give back.

All the parties, everything. I've had a lot of good moments on this site. I want to give back some of the stuff I've received. I want to be more active in the site, I want to help more!

I won't dissapoint ya'll, I promise. And if I do :/ Well *sigh* we're all human right (bad excuse XD).

Yeah, I know I'm gonna have A LOT of responsibilites.... If Francis ever makes an advanced censoring option, I'm gonna have to have it off and keep my sister from looking over my shoulder, but that's my price to pay. I'll be putting more time into the site, but that's my problem (plus I got mah internetz fixed yay!).

Hopefully you actually haven't believed ANYTHING that I've said. If you did, your easily persuaded. This is what I THINK OF MYSELF, but what the community thinks of me matters most. I think the actions a member takes, not what they say, really matter. Hopefully I've acted well enough and I've proved myself that way. Honestly, I don't care who gets the position. I only hope it goes to someone who can live up to the standards. I think I'm one of those people, so that's why I've applied. Yes, I am indeed crazy to take something like this onto my shoulders, but, I'm willing enough to do it.
