Personally, I hate when I go into a topic and someone's 640x480 avatar stretches the screen and I have to scroll way over to view the posts. It's just highly annoying. It would be cool if maybe you had the site automatically resize avatars to 150px if they exceed the size.

The first time you look at an image, it will be the original size, the second it will be the fixed revolution that fits in the little square.

I use Interwebz Explorar, and I've never had problems. The site automatically resizes them I thought.
