every now and then, my laptop would turn off by itself when it wants to.
This is the reason why I always log off of AIM/MSN whenever this happens, its not because i'm leaving. I always get back on.
And then a few minutes later or so, it turns off by itself again without me doing anything.
Would this be the computer's file/C drive problems or the laptop itself? |

Do you have any virus software that updates on it's own, and it shuts down when it's done? You might want to check that out, because it happened once to me, and I thought my computer crashed. |

Try running your virus protection software, because that might be the problem. If there is no viruses, then I'm sorry to say that you might need a new computer because the same problem is happening to my dad's computer, and we are still trying to figure out the problem. |

no it just turns off without warning.
@Jr. Troopa: I checked, there are no new viruses, everything was fine. Maybe I do need a new laptop. |
