It could be something to do with differing gravities on her observatory and the racetrack >.<
Also I think you can unlock light, medium and heavyweight Miis as different 'characters' on the selection screen rather than it being based on size/weight. |

Well, at least it's probably better than including a "Sonic Cup," where you race in four different Sonic-based racetracks - Green Hill Zone (complete with the Shuttle Loop), Station Square Speedway, Death Egg Zone, and Radiant Emerald Zone, along with Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Dr. Eggman as unlockable racers, since they were the first four to use Kart-based vehicles in Sonic Drift for Game Gear.
That way, you'd hear such random spoutings from Sonic, like...
"You're too SLOOW" when he gets the lead, or
"Yahoo! It's all about speed!" when he wins a race.
"Too easy, piece of cake" when he gets second or third. |
