My friend just had her iPhone stolen... It was so sad, she was crying and bawling to me because she like can not live with out it. It was sad. She just wouldn't stop crying to me. and I thought, 'If I was in the shoes of that idiot who stole it, then what would I do?' Personally, if I was the dick that stole it I would return it and atone for the sins I have commited....
So here's the question: place yourself in a hard situation, whatever it is you are the one who did the bad thing. Wink Wink. What would you rather have? Retribution? Or Atonement?

Atonement. It's just verbal apologies, I think.
I think.

Well, saying "I'm sorry" would not make me feel better, I would have to do something to make it up to the person. Therefore, I choose retribution.

For myself, atonement.
For anyone else, retribution. (IE: I get to punch you in the face)

This, only you exchange "punch you in the face" to "make your life hell".

Hm, let's see.

It depends on the situation.

If I were to do anything wrong, retribution. Of course, if it was minor, atonement.

If anyone were to do anything to me, I frankly wouldn't care. As long as they acknowledge the fact that they have done something wrong, I'm fine.

However, if they don't acknowledge the issue, I would most likely try to get back at them in some way.
