The main reason we're arguing about casual/core is because casual games do tend to be bad, most of the time. Poorly made, that isn't a trait that relies on taste.

In the absense of Mario, Metroid or Zelda, we get what is essentially a port of Animal Crossing, a decent-but-short Wii Platformer (Wario), a couple more good games here and there, and, well, Wii *Insert title here* and a bunch of lackluster third party games. There is a problem with Wii's library, and a Nintendo console has never had this large of an amount of crappy titles over good titles- and Nintendo's focus has, indeed, shifted, as evidenced by the last E3's press conference. Nothing but non-gamer gimmicky games. They thought that Animal Crossing and GTA DS would hold the core audience out; well, they didn't. | Oh, quit your *crag* complaining and just *crag* deal with it, You're being a drama queen. °Д° ◉_◉ ʘﮯʘ |

Plus there's one solution to deal with a game you're not sure of. RENT THE DAMN THING YOU GET TO SEE IF IT'S BAD, AND IF IT IS BAD YOU RETURN THE PIECE OF SHIT AND NEVER HAVE TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR ITಠ_ಠ |

I was going to say Tree of Tranquility is a good core game, but that's not really a Nintendo game. >.> I honestly don't care if the game is core or casual, as long as it's fun and I'll play the game more than once. |

What job would that be? M'aiq will be perfectly honest when he says it doesn't appear to be "bringing out high-quality games." yeah, their mainstream games like SMG and Metroid are fun, but WiiMusic? If Animal Crossing got a better update than "Gamecube version + Online + WiiSpeak" then M'aiq wouldn't even have to bring it up...
M'aiq just thinks that things will get better if Nintendo goes back to controller-based games. Most of the crap titles currently out are just there to whore out the aiming function. |

Nintendo wants money. They thought "Hey! Casuals don't have a single system to play, and they're over half the world! We should milk their money!"
And then they do. Duh. |

Hello, Number 7.°Д° ◉_◉ ʘﮯʘ |
I'm like Azura on Youtube Nr. 23 When he play hacks of SMW he's hardcore and may be like the "must reach" guy. Me and my friend still play Brawl over Wi-fi or in same house, and it's addicting and fun. Azura does the same in most his videos. I ask for wi-fi battles every day. |

They've always made games that were quality. Even WarioWare- a non-gamer game- was great when it first came out. So, yeah, I can enjoy a non-gamer game. However, I can't enjoy a bad nongamer game. And, this generation, more bad nongamer games are appearing on Nintendo's console than quality core games and quality casual games combined. Nintendo definitely [b]is not doing the same thing they did with previous consoles.
| Quote: | | It's what Miyamoto wanted, It sounds selfish, But this is his dream, He's been wanting to make something like this for a long time, And the people who used to look up to him are being selfish faggots all because they didn't get any "good" games this year, |
I don't think expecting a variety of "good" games makes someone a "selfish faggot." :/

Brawl was disappointing, but that's besides the point. Most of the "good" Wii games- which are about 7-9, now- come out more than a month apart. And, that small library doesn't do a console two years old well, when compared to its other competitors. So, no; releasing more well-developed games wouldn't cause them to be incomplete. What Nintendo needs to do is start putting their focus in the right direction- making quality, memorable games- instead of cheap games that can make alot of money. They could do some awesome stuff if that happened. Maybe even come up with a few new IPs that aren't crappy. But, no, they can mow over their competition- the Xbox 360, with its massive library of good games, for instance- without making those focus changes.
The problem isn't because the fanbase lacks patience. The problem is because Nintendo is forgetting about that little side-effect of videogaming known as "quality" in their ultimate quest for profit. |
