It really depends on what you want it to do.

A good moveset (serebii.com's suggestion)

Rock Slide
Earthquake
Dragon Dance
Substitute

Really really good overused physical sweeper. If you care about EV's put it in : 44 HP / 252 Atk / 44 Def / 168 Spd

basically: Substitute, dragon dance once or twice, then either rock slide (better crit ration) or earthquake (more damage)

they don't work. You get the attack bonus because of type matchups and things but you don't get STAB, and it seriously puts you at a disadvantage.

Not really, a STAB works on all Pokemon, while super-effective hits work on certain types.

Not really, a STAB works on all Pokemon, while super-effective hits work on certain types.

But with several different types of moves, you can get super effective hits on a wider range which is way more useful than STAB. If you're facing a Pokemon of a type you can't get super effective against, switch out to one that can. If you balance out your team's type moves, chances are you'll have a Pokemon for almost every situation.

Yet if you focus on both, you have a great moveset. >_<
