I just thought about something. I think we should all have a basic attack function button that we can use against another member or something to that extent.

Think of it like a basic "A" button attack. It could do, like, 2-3 damage. Just something to throw out there.

I guess it would be like, you press the button, and then a screen would pop up like when you use an item, you type the recipetent of the attack's name in, and you execute the attack. There you go. A basic attack function?

-1 HP items will be useless. -99S are just for speed. Maybe if we had a reasonable limit...

I supported the idea, if it involves the attack being able to have a name that the member gives it.

Example I being a member that has the name of a mage would name my basic attack after a wind or dark-based spell.

Also if Francis decides to add experience points and level ups the basic attacks could be made so when a member levels up. The damage of their basic attack could increase a little.

Well, it's not going to be an "item" really. More of a means to add to the effect of the HP system and attack system.

Plus, it would make the sight more RP oriented with such system. This site was influenced by SPM, and in that game you didn't use items for every attack. You had a basic attack (jumping, etc). Incorperate this idea to this site, and *explosion* greatness!

Of course, there would be a limit. I was thinking a 5 HP limit max, even items that would temporarily increase this attack power. Items that could be used against you and lower it as well (though they could cost a good amount to buy to keep the tensions going with them).

Also, if Francis incorperates that EXP system someone mentioned one time (it's on the To-Do list), that max ATK power of the basic attacks could be increased. I can see starting out at one, and perhaps a maximun of -10 HP attack.

Supported, but make it so theres some sort of level up system too to make it useful. It'll get whored like crazy but who cares, supported.

Thanks for supporting! We need more to support it, and we need Francis to read this as well.

Also, I like Vaati's idea of being able to name our basic attacks. I could see something like that.

That would effectively put the final nail in the coffin of digibutter's economy. A more reasonable suggestion would be "special attacks"- for each post you make, you get "power", or something, and when you get enough (Say... 10, or so), you can unleash your signature special attack, that deals a fair amount of damage (20 would be the base damage. 1-point upgrades could be purchased for 10 coins each.)

Only if it costs some kind of points. That way, you can't just spam someone to death while they're offline.

We'd have to change the attack/item system entirely for this to work. Maybe what Crump said, but otherwise no.

You'd be able to spam it like crazy at no cost. It'd be a slow, but extremely inbox-flooding and cheap (both meanings of the word) way to kill if your opponent is offline.

I could see a point thing working. I could see something like this:

AP(or RAP): whatever/whatever

Attack points/regular attack points.

Make it a slow system, or give it a limit.

For example, for every 5 posts outside of RPOT and OT, you get an attack point. You need 10 to be able to attack, so, you need to post 50 times to be able to attack once, and the posts have to be outside of the most-used forums. Since the attack would be weak, people wouldn't spam to use it, but they still might if need be.

Anyway, it won't work right now, so, not supported until a battle system is released that will work with it effectively.
