What the hell? Whoever striked these posts deserves to be de-modded (or if it's Francis, de-admin'd). Seriously, striking a post because it censor bypasses in a thread discussing censors? How the hell are we even supposed to know what word we're talking about if we can't even say it? And besides, it's a pretty stupid censor anyway. People can abuse "shit" or "penis" like crazy and not even get warned, hell, they can announce "penis" for no reason over a nerrcast, but if we intelligently discuss a word that we think should be uncensored, we get striked.
We need a damn way to see who strikes what. That way shitty strikes like this can go by without everybody complaining about all the mods.

It was the rest of the sentence that got him striked, but I'm confused about Yena getting striked for just saying raping. SO I BELIEVE YENA WAS UNFAIRLY STRIKED AND WE SHOULD GET FRANCIS TO CENSOR WHAT WE'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO SAY AND UNCENSOR WHAT WE'RE ALLOWED TO SAY. |

Censor bypassing is censor bypassing and using it in a discussion dosen't make it exempt from a strike. Does it say in the rules that you are exempt from getting a strike because it was a discussion? No, it doesn't, and if you just wanted to not get a strike, then you should have left it as "*crag*" or could have used an alternative, like the "r-word." There could have been other ways that you could have prevented yourself from getting a strike.
Also, I didn't warn you because I thought you would have known that since the topic was about censor bypassing, you wouldn't bypass the censor but just leave it as "*crag*". As by the rules, punishments for censor bypassing range from a strike to an immediate jailing. We don't give out warnings for censor bypassing. |

I break the rules and Jr. strikes me most of the time like everyday, but do I complain? No, I look back and regret posting what I got striked for and move on. |

That statement is biased, you know. Just because you think your statement was right doesn't mean it was right. Of course; that's not to say that your statement was wrong, either. In fact; calling something right or wrong is biased in it's own right. [/wut]
Aaaaaanyways, I think users should be able to choose which words they want censored. Some people are offended by certain words, other people don't really care. If you block all the "bad" words, people who aren't bothered by them get pissed off due to "over-censoring". If you don't censor anything; then people who are offended by those words get pissed off due to "under-censoring".
Then, of course, there would still be words that would be censored no matter what. |
