Maybe you shun something as 'kiddy' because you want to look cool. Maybe you want to seem grown up. Maybe you just hate the material for some stupid reason and try to get others to share your views. I have a news flash for you: there is no age limit on a good book, movie, or game.

Just because something is deemed to be 'kiddy' or 'popular with just small children', it does not mean that it is wrong from someone to like it. People can watch Disney movies when not in the presence of a toddler. People can read the Chronicles of Narnia or Harry Potter or the Xanth series! You all have games you love and will continue to love no matter what anyone says, even if they say that the games are kiddy.

Everyone here in this forum is guilty of liking something that others would deem childish, as everyone present is a Mario fan. As we all know, Nintendo is scoffed at by system fans for having too many games which are not septia-toned shooters, crime simulators, or some other violent and quite possibly M-rated video game type. They all probably have a game that they secretly love in spite of its E-rating.

Everyone here has most likely watched a cartoon which is called corny for its heavy stressing on friendship and teamwork. Admittedly, they could stress it a bit less, but quite frankly, given how the world is these days, every single person could do with these modern-day fables.

I'm not saying that everything should be availble to every age, such as sexual images placed in the hands of children. I'm just saying that just because something has a rating under Mature or is recommended for people under thirteen, it does not mean that anyonw of any age can't enjoy it.

Thank you for your time.

I agree. I never have said it, (I don't think) but I like a lot of kiddy cartoons, and I'm open to say it!

Hamtaro
Ben 10
Bob the Builder
SpongeBob

And it's not kiddy, but I also watch Avatar

I agree. I love a lot of kid's shows still, and all sorts of childish stuff because they're more fun.

I don't really care unless someone my age tells me how much fun an EC rated game is. That's like telling me Baby Einsteins is quality television.

Except for Mario Strikers Charged Football, all my games are rated E / Most are rated 3+. Also, I sometimes play with dolls. I like kids' cartoons and movies. You get what I'm saying. I don't care about others' opinions. I care about me.

I don't really care if someone says what I like is "kiddie", if I like it, then shut the *crag* up and go play some Halo.

The above is proof that not all games are kiddy, a game about a kid in a chicken suit hatching eggs that have little animals in them to defeat an army of giant ravens is epic to me.

It's no secret that I love cartoons and toys. Just because something is accessible to kids doesn't mean you can't enjoy it when you're older. Why should I have to "outgrow" something I love?

look out here comes a rant

It's true that a lot of cartoons are targeted at younger audiences. Know why? Because every animated movie that isn't has flopped. There have been plenty of cartoons targeted at adults, but no one ever wants to see them.
So it's YOUR fault, for not seeing Titan AE in theaters. Yeah, it wasn't the best movie ever, but if it had been successful, it may have inspired more cartoons like it. Cartoons that aren't afraid to show an on-screen death, maybe a little TnA. I'm not trying to suggest that violence and sex automatically makes something good or "mature," but it would help people get out of the cartoons-are-just-for-kids mentality.
But no, it flopped. It flopped so badly that it killed Fox Animation Studios, and Don Bluth hasn't made a movie since.
