Either Monk for some decent heals, Warrior or Paragon for defensive shouts and all. |

I dunno, never really played a ranger properly. Mending Touch would be good for a R/Mo, and a R/P can use spears, which have higher DPS, and well as a shield. It's really up to you.
As well, you don't want to bring Barrage into PvP, since a single cast of Insidious Parasite can tear you apart. I learnt this from the Jade Quarry earlier.
You may want to go R/Me for the Mantra stances, which are decent, but a must in some builds(E.g. SA's and Exuro's earth elementalist build). |

I've kinda grown fond of my Poisonous Nevermore Flatbow. |

I have a few purple Shadow Bows if you want, I can get the mods from them. And the Poisonous Nevermore Flatbow is kinda bad. There are much, much better bows out there. You always want all bow types in your inventory, so don't get used to it. |

It's kinda troublesome to find max weapon drops. You usually have to make them, either in Kourna or Vabbi. Or somewhere in the Canthan mainland. Not so sure about Prophecies. Say, when you reach Kourna, you want to work together on Nightfall with my Dervish? Of course, after you come to the guild. |

Rangers have the advantage of almost never needing a secondary. I would recommend /Mo for condition removal or /E to use Conjures with Barrage. |

/Mo with a hex removal is very useful. I can personally show you why. This is really true for a ranger using Barrage. Now, lemme give you a situation I faced.
In the Jade Quarry, a PvP match, I was defending one of our bases. Along comes a barrage ranger. Since I normally get hurt by them, I throw all my hexes at the ranger. The hexes were : Insidious Parasite, Faintheartedness, Enfeeble and Pain of Disenchantment was also tossed in. Now, the Ranger failed to notice, and whenever he used Barrage on the base's guardians, it hit for 6*41, which was 246 life-stealing damage per use of Barrage. I killed him after three bouts of Barrage. A while later, I was killed by a sin. |
