Dervishes, I find, are considerably easier to use. And the Avatar skills(which are available when you hit Kourna, which isn't very far), are extremely useful, especially Lyssa, Dwayna and Melandru, and to a lesser extent, Balthazar and Grenth.

I find that Assassins are actually pretty fun, and my second favorite profession in PvE.
