R ratings are far too harsh for such a book. I've read quite a bit of books that fall into the "R" category, and that's far to simplistic.

Besides, KH, they'll probably cut the make out scene.

But it's important and it cements the Harry/Ginny pairing (which frankly, I hate!!!)

They cut a lot of important scenes in book-movie transitions. Look at the Bond novels and then the movies. Do the same with Bourne, Lord of the Rings and most, if not all, book-movie conversions.

They are splitting the 7th movie in two parts so they can include EVERYTHING.

I think they'll keep the love scenes, but they aren't THAT graphic. Like we haven't seen a kiss in a pg movie Rolling Eyes

Language-wise, a movie usually only receives a R if it uses the f bomb more than once.

Violence-wise, it is intense, but not graphic. Sure there are alot of deaths, but the aren't bloody and gutsy stuff.

It's NOT going to get an R rating.

That's surprising.... But HBP doesn't have any violent deaths (although it does have the big one) so yeah.

Also, DH will be two movies you know. Very Happy So double R rating?

I think DH will recieve a PG-13 rating. It has a lot of deaths, but they aren't too violent (but it's been a while since I've read the book so I may be missing something)

No, DH was full of bloody violence (every other chapter someone dies!), the most bad language (NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU BITCH!) and it's the most sexually charged (Harry and *crag* Ginny have an INCREDIBLY passionate makeout session) and that's enough to warrant an R.

They will probably censor it to a PG-13 because that's about the age the books are made for.

BUT WUT IF DEY DO?!
Their only audience right now is fangirls obsessed with either the series or Daniel Radcliffe.

The margin of them which are over 18 is so incredibly small they'd bankrupt themselves.

But they really wouldn't watch it. If I were dragged along to watch, I'd actually sleep the whole time or listen to some music.

While I'm not an absolute freak over the book, I don't see what's so bad about it....

Seriously, what makes you guys hate it?

Also, I'm gonna see the final movie at midnight as a payback for my mom telling me to stop reading at the last chapter of the last book so we could read it together, but instead she went and finished it without me. That's probably the most pissed off I've ever been at her D:

But that doesn't mean you should hate it :/ I'd try to make an example, but the only thing I can think of is Twilight.... And that is a horrible book....

I hate it 'cause of its general uncreative plot. You could see what was coming from a mile away. I also find it a disgrace of sorts to many fantasy series.
