Luigi had come back from celebrating his birthday at Mushroom Castle. He was cautious tonight, at least more cautious than usual, as he entered the small home he owned with his brother. Mario had told him naught but a few hours ago that he had prepared a special gift for him. To his dismay though, he had not seen his brother since then. Perhaps even worse, it appeared as though no one throughout the whole of his party guests had seen his brother that day either. Luigi slowly cracked the door ajar, being careful not to make but the slightest creak as he peeked into the darkened abode. He was taken a back as a large stream of smoke burst through the gap he had created. Had the house caught fire? was this the work of some nefarious force? Against his better judgment, he quickly dashed into the home. But wait, what cruel trick was this? It was not smoke, but a thick fog. No, not this even; it seemed to have a humid quality to it that dried the skin and puckered the tongue. Luigi could not even being to imagine the horrors that awaited him further in. Had his humble home been invaded by some monstrous mecha sent by the vile King Koopa himself? A silhouette appeared in a distance, just a few yards away from our green clad knight. It was hard to make out the finer details, but it was clearly humanoid in nature. Could it be, his brother? He rushed forward, determined to discover the true identity of this intruder before they had the chance to retaliated. He reached forward to grab his prey, but it was he was caught first. The vile beast soon began to violently embrace him. Could it be trying to suffocate him, or perhaps readying its gruesome maw? He looked up towards his captor, still determined to unmask this reaper if it was the last thing he would do on this corporeal plane. But before he had a chance, he was entrenched within soft, full lips. The kiss was long and passionate, for minutes the two stood there, stopping the eternal passage of time for but a brief few seconds so that they could savor every moment of their loving entanglement. When it came to an end, Luigi could barely form the words he so desperately wanted to shout to the world. "Mario?" "Yes, Luigi." "Oh god, I've waited so long..."
And then, as though a million souls cried out in unison has they were ripped from life by the gnarled claw of the reaper himself, YoshiFace came.
