As you can probably tell from the title, my dog passed away.
His name was Cody. He was a small gray/black French Poodle. He died at 17 and a half years old.
Its just hard now to accept the fact that hes gone. He's literally been around all my life. The rest of my family isn't taking this too well either.
But I keep saying to myself, he's in a better place.
My parents had to put him out of his misery, he was walking into walls, blind, deaf, and couldn't even stand up without stumbling due to his age.
I love him and he was a great dog, and now I gotta accept the fact he's not with us anymore.

Wow, He lived to be very old. And it sounds like it was a good life for him because you loved him so much. It makes me feel better when I think that they have to die at some time, they had a much better life, when they could have been in the rough wild or with a bad owner.

I'm so sorry. I know exactly how you feel. It seems ridiculous, but you know the song I wrote? It was about my cat, and it was almost exactly like your dog. She was older than me, and she was extremely sick. She was the best cat ever, she would cuddle all the time, and never bite, or anything. Reading your story brings tears to my eyes, and I hope you feel better soon.

I suggest you take a day from school to mourn. When my cat died, I did that, and it was much easier for me to accept that she was gone. If you take a day off, you'll feel better sooner than normal.

I hope that you feel better very soon.
