If I'm doing a frame by frame animation at 24fps, how far apart should each key frame be?

Also here is a picture to make this topic valid in YC.

Nice pic, man!

It all depends on how much of the fps quality you want. If you want it to be a really high quality, you can do every frame, but you can also do every other frame. Try making a part of the animation, then tweaking the frames and see what looks best to you.
