It'll have 3 parts, one for each book.
IMO, it will be awesome or fall on it's face.
After me and my sister watched a 6 hour marathon of avatar, we relized we had a legal obligation to see the movie. |

I'd like to see a more extensive preview.
The one that's been revealed so far is like... well, Aang looks like Aang and the Fire Nation ships look like Fire Nation ships. What else? |

The only thing really that pisses me off is that there are only 3 movies. The series finale could be a whole extra movie, itself. Avatar has too much to explain in just 3 movies.
7 would be good, though. 2 parts for each season, and then one for the finale.
I also don't like how Zuko doesn't have a ponytail, and how Iroh's actor isn't fat, but those are only minor things. Also how Aang's arrow is black and complicated, other than blue and simple. I mean, both designs are awesome, but I'd like to see the blue arrow, too. |

No one looks anything like they should, but Only the Water Tribe is white.
Water Tribes are white
Fire Nation is Indian
Air Nomads are Chinese/Japanese
Earth Kingdom is... Well I don't really know.
But it makes sense. |

But Aang looks like a little white kid who shaved his hair in the shape of an arrow in the movie image. And in the original series, weren't the water tribes like native american looking?not white people. |

Well, Inuit-colored skin isn't a result of the ocation, it's a result of immigration. If people were at the North and South Poles when skin was adjusting, then they would be caucasian.
Fire Nation would probably be Native American (Which is pretty much the same skin tone as Indian, so that's fine.)
Earth Kingdom would be Asian (Skin tones correlating with Earth's Asian skin tones by geography)
Air Temples would vary by location. For example, N/S would be caucasian, East would be Native American or Indian, and West would be Japanese.
So in terms of Water and Fire, they got it right. For the Air Nomads, they had to all have the same skin tone, so I respect their choice of Chinese/Japanese.
And we don't know what the Earth Kingdom is like, so we can't say anything quite yet.
EDIT: I just did a Google Image Search for the actors playing Haru and his dad. Earth Kingdom will be Chinese/Japanese, so geographically speaking, everything is correct, with the exception of the Air Nomads. |

I don't really care that Katara and Sokka are white. Their actors are experienced in martial arts, so that's good. Plus, Mike and Brian are involved and I doubt they'd let Shamalamadingdong *crag* up too much. |
