Abigor got pushed back by Speedsters kick, somewhat pained, still above ground. "Well, you pathetic mortals, you've done well It's time to say goodbye...Huhhuhuhhe...Huhahahhahh...AAHAHAHAHAHAAAH!" After letting out his possesed...? laugh, Abigor then pointed his hand at all of them...And his hand started to give a ghostly white glow...Then, nobody knew what exactly would happen, only whiteness could be seen, and pure energy flowing could be heard. This was his incomprehensible attack.

Speedster fought to remain on the ground. Abigor's attack was blowing him back. "How could you do this?", he asked. "How could you betray us? You bast-", Speedster was lifted off his feet, flying backwards from Abigor's attack, remaining in a constant backwards spin. He continued yelling "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaard!", as he flew, landing in the lake behind him.

[Champiness]

Searing pain flew through every part of Ampy's body. Pain too great to comprehend. All he could see was white. And then, ironically, everything went dark...

Speedster emerged from the water, gasping for breath. He was farther out than he thought. He remembered he couldn't swim, and franticly flaped his arms and legs around. He managed to yell "HELP!", before he sunk into the water. His whole body ached from Abigor's attack. He floated helplessly as he began sinking to the bottom. It's not like he could do anything, even if he tried. He couldn't even see the bottom. Suddenly, he felt something slimey grip around he waist. He looked down to see a Giant Blooper's tentacle around him, pulling him down into the dark depths of the lake. He screamed and kicked, but that just made him lose air. I'm gunna die....., he thought.

Brian was silent at the sight of, well, everything happening all at once. But then he noticed Speedster falling down into the depths of the water, and he remembered...
If you fall, I'll just change my shape and catch you! Or let you use me as a floatation device.
"Speedster!" Brian jumped down and spun in mid-air, changing his from to that of a Cheep-cheep. "I'll save you buddy!", as soon as he said this, he burst into tears. He dived down into the water, trying to find out where Speedster had gone, going deeper and deeper until...
!!! Speedster was in the hands of a giant Blooper's tentacle! Brian didn't hesitate at all to try pulling him out from the Blooper's grasp, but he wasn't strong enough. In a last ditch effort, he changed back to his normal form. Grabbing Speedster, he swam up with all his strength, deeply inhaling in when he reached the top. He found some nearby land to try getting the water out of poor Speedster.

Speedster coughed out a mouthful of water. There was a bright light and the shape of someone leaning over him, but he couldn't see who. Then everything went dark.

"Are you okay? Speak to me!" Brian tried to get as much water out of Speedster's system as possible.

[Paper Luigi]

Speedster felt someone pushing on his stomach, and another mouthful of water came up. He looked up to see Brian peering into his face, looking worried.

"Ahh, you're alive! Oh, thank God! I thought you were done for!"

[Paper Luigi]

Speedster's face curled into a frown. "WHERE'S ABIGOR? I'm gunna kill him!"

Ampy was drifting in and out of consciousness. As he floated somewhere outside the realm of comprehension, one memory stood out in his mind...

It was dark in the Desert Zone. Of course, this wasn't abnormal, being that it was underground. Two lone figures stood in the shifting sands, at the entrance to an ominous-looking building.
"Are you sure we should go through with this?" Dripix asked. "Some of the Mimigas back in the village are convinced that the Red Flowers are our only chance of survival."
"They're also a poison!" Ampy snapped back. "You saw what they did to those poor folk in Grasstown. Those things weren't Mimigas, they were monsters."
"I know what you mean," Dripix replied, "but think about Kaze. Do you really think she can stand up to those robots? She needs-"
All of a sudden, the ground shook violently, knocking the pair off their feet.
"What? An Earthquake?" Ampy asked. "But this place is nothing but sand..."
Another tremor rocked the area, tearing the ceiling off the cavern. Above them was, not sky, but a large, pulsating, Black-and-Purple vortex.
"Whh-what?" Dripix wondered.
"Kaze... she needs help!" Ampy started to run off, but Dripix remained fixed there.
"Dripix!" Ampy shouted. "What are you doing? This place isn't safe!"
Dripix just stood in awe.
A big chunk of the ground where Ampy stood ripped free and gave into the vortex's pull. Ampy jumped off, but it was headed straight for Dripix.
"Dripix!"
The rock collided with Dripix and the two of them flew off into the darkness.
Ampy was horrified. But he knew how urgent it was that he get back to the village, so he ran towards the teleporter. The desert was being torn apart, but Ampy made it safely. A few seconds later, he was flying toward Mimiga village...
