Pokémon Shifters Rules:
1. No Legendaries, and no Dittos... 2. To change: Your character drinks a bottle of L.G.I.'s mineral water, and when he or she sees a particular Pokémon, they change into that type of Pokémon. 3. Each character's personal reaction to the Pokémon shifting is different. If you want your character to be stuck as a Pokémon forever, that's fine. If you want your character to be able to shift between Pokémon and human, that's fine too. The only requirement is that each Shifter must spend some time as a Pokémon each day. 4. Your character may have up to 5 Pokémon forms. 5. For hearing, your character may always be able to understand Pokémon if you wish them to. 6. For speaking, your character in Pokémon form can of course talk to other Pokémon, and can talk to humans through 'mind speech'. It's not a requirement, so it's up to you whether you wish to do this or not. 7. Fish Pokémon can hover slightly above land. 8. You have to start as a human first.
And no, no plans for a map at the moment, sorry.
Shadow, you may use either style, but novel is definitely preferred more.
And yes Greenlight, that will work.
I've also made a seperate Sign-Up Topic, as suggested, and will have my starting post up soon. |

<Ugh...> Senior's head was foggey, and he couldn't move for a moment. He began to wonder why he had blacked out, and ran the thoughts of his last minuite through his head...Passed up Tom Roberts and buried him in a cloud of red dust...Almost ran into the mailman...Ran into the store and bought a bottle of water...
Aha! That must be it. The water must have had some strange chemical in it. He would get to the manufacturer soon enough, but first he had to stand up...
Senior tried to get up on two feet, but he could not. He finaly got so fruststrated that he tried to look down, but he could not move his head...it only took him a moment to realize that he had no head. He also realized that his feet were blue-ish, and were metalic.
<Aye must be daydreamin'. Any min'ite now i'll wake up and NOT be a meta'oss.>
But this was not true. He lay there, in the hot, searing sun and did not change. He finaly decided that he was a metagross, true and true. He only then thought of getting up on 4 legs.
Senior attempted to get up, but stumbled back down to the hard, red mesa rock. He tried once again and wobbly made his way to his feet.
<So...I'm a pokemons now....migh' as well check out this body i'm in, for the time being.> |

Aryn lived on Silk Isle of the Silverdust Islands, in the small, wintry village of Klikan. The place looked like a Christmas card, with strange and unique cold-surviving plants hanging on doors and from rooftops, icy snow lining the windows of shops big and small, and little huts with thatched roofs peppering the landscape in a distinctly unorganized fashion. Today Aryn was making the relatively short journey from his home in Klikan to the cold and drafty Foreverice Cave, which loomed ever closer as he trundled through the snow with his longtime Pokémon partner, Slowpoke. The numbing cold didn't seem to register with Slowpoke, and it crawled alongside Aryn as the pair approached the cave, its bright pink body tinged with frost.
It wasn't long before Aryn and his Slowpoke were standing in the vast, cavernous entrance of Foreverice Cave. Taking a swig of some water out of a bottle he had fished out of his backpack, Aryn searched the cave for signs of Pokémon that might have been lurking, thinking themselves unseen, in the shadows. As Aryn returned the bottle of water, which was now nearly frozen into a mass of solid ice, to the rear pocket of his backpack, he got a nasty surprise - a Xatu zoomed into the cave from outside, soaring over Aryn's head and letting out its Pokémon cry that echoed loudly through the vicinity.
The Xatu landed on the cave floor and gave Aryn a piercing look, as though it thought he had quite clearly done something very wrong, and was in a place he shouldn't be. Rushing past his Slowpoke, which was only just now reacting to the noise the Xatu had made and had begun to back away slowly from it, Aryn pulled a Ball from his bag and chucked it at the Xatu, with an air of unmistakable confidence. This Ball, he had been told, was a Health Ball, and would be able to catch a Pokémon that was in top condition almost every time. However, the ball merely bounced off of the Xatu and landed on the cold, hard floor with a clatter - it had done nothing, nothing at all. The Xatu gave Aryn a patronized look and flew deep into the cave, out of sight.
The ball had been a fake, of course, thought Aryn to himself. It didn't help his mood in the slightest - he was already having a kind of terrible ache in his body that had begun to spread since the Xatu had fixed him with its first strange, accusing stare. Then, quite suddenly, it happened. The area around him gave a horrible, frightening lurch and Aryn felt as though he were plunging through ice-cold water... he could barely hear the cry of his Slowpoke not far behind him, he was shaking... the cold suddenly became warmth... and then the aching stopped, he could make out his surroundings quite clearly, and he was standing on the floor of Foreverice Cave. He felt distinctly ruffled.
He tried to reach for his backpack with his right arm, but all it did was flap... flap? Aryn looked at his arm and, with a jolt of shock, realized that it had become a multicolored wing. He looked at the rest of his body and found that it was covered in feathers - he found that he felt quite warm, considering the sheer cold that usually rang though the cave. Quite suddenly blackness overtook him, and he collapsed to the ground.
Aryn awakened... Thinking that he wanted, desperately, to become human again, Aryn found that his wish could easily be granted. As though some outside force could hear his thoughts, he found his form changing back into that of a human. Aryn stood up, his Slowpoke gazing at him in confusion (it usually looked confused anyway). Wild thoughts rang in his mind. He had just turned into a Xatu, a real, human-minded Xatu. But how? What's more, the sky outside was dark - several hours must have passed since he had transformed. He then remembered... he had passed out due to a strange, deep fatigue. Perhaps he had fainted from shock? Aryn, still in a kind of daze, beckoned for his Slowpoke to follow as he exited Foreverice Cave.

Steve woke up, on a hard, cold. rugged hard ground. His eyes opened to see the two dull, ugly abandoned buildings looming over him like two giants...Something was wrong. As soon as he sat up, he noticed everything was taller and bigger, the stench of dumpsters and trash didn't really smell so bad, it smelt like unique food of some sort, and as soon as he saw his legs, he screamed, but with this unusual voice, it sounded like a cat. Only two small, furry legs were seen before him, with cat like paws. He looked at his hands...They weren't hands, they too were paws, claws outstretched thanks to his shock. He then knew just exactly who's fault it was. Ulta City, exactly were he got most of his goods. But what was the company? Ulta City was full of far too many large industries...Checking the split bottle didn't give so much, in fact, all company brands and copyrights were ripped off. The sky was already from a bright dayfall into a sunset, and he could already hear the worried calls of the one named Steve. This was not a good deal, and the remnants of the puddle of water smelt of death. Steve went out of the alley to find his friends and family and several others looking for him desperately, and they were all out of hope. Sadly, Steve never wanted to be too much into Pokemon, but right now, it was for real. Steve then got all the way out of the alleyway into the noisy streets, this was time to get some help, and set course for the massive industrial landscape known as Ulta City...
Back on the streets, people were everywhere, friends, family, family friends, who knows? Steve was ignored by these people, of course, because he was reduced to a Pokemon, people really didn't care. As soon as he got to the smaller part of town, people were already giving the Meowth odd looks, mainly of hostility, a grimy, urban virus like him did not belong in Dotted Town...But there was no other place to go, but the dangerous Dotted volcanic region...He realized as soon as he found the beach , help was just not something he could get from such a closed off land, he sent a prayer of some sort, somewhere, to somebody who could help him escape from the unusual and low tech place known as Dotted Town, and then he spotted, far away with his acute eyes, this unusual grey mess, he could somehow look closer, and saw some detail, thousands of patterned pillars flushing a cloudy dull murk over the land and grimy company high-rises between. No need for help, the destination, Plantlac Isle was far too close. As soon as Steve got into the water, he swam towards the land, and found a carp on his way (Not a Magicarp, mind you), and ate it raw. It was quite tasty, giving him the energy he needed to find whatever it was in the with his new powers... |

After a few minutes of standing around in the grass, fighting other Poochyena, it was clear that Cassandra's was already a good level. It picked off the other ones without a sweat, but it barked excitedly at each victory.
"Whoop dee doo." She let it wander off in the grass alone for a bit, always hearing the small growls of a one-sided battle. The place she had picked wasn't large, and Cassandra could keep an eye on it if she simply stood up. Leaning against a tree, she fished her carton of cigarettes out of her school bag. Placing the filter in the corner of her mouth, the lighter was flicked open, the flame touching the end of the death stick. Cassandra inhaled and coughed, a typical reaction.
Why did she even smoke? It was only a month ago that she had refused a pack from her dormmate, but now she was hooked. Though a great factor in it was probably the cashier at the fast food joint who'd often join her at the Fuming Wall, as the smokers and pot-heads would call it.
"Damn Devon..." Cassandra muttered, blowing another ring as her Poochyena scampered around the grass. It seemed to have scared off all the weaker Pokemon, and now it chased a moth that danced on the tips of the blades of grass. The insect landed on a tall rock, and Poochyena crouched in the green, a stealthy hunter. It pounced, and missed. Knocking its snout on the rock, Cassandra laughed at the little display of comedy. Her Poochyena came bounding back, and jumped around her a few times before coming to a rest by her feet.
After resting for a few minutes, Cassandra's cigarette was smoked out. She dropped it on the soil and smothered it with her heel, not wanting to burn the grass. Next to her, the Poochyena's stomach growled as it looked at her with melting puppy eyes.
"Right... I haven't fed you yet." She picked up her bag and came off the tree, grabbing her Pokemon's attention again as she walked to the nearest grocery. |

Using the rope to haul herself up, Kijara reached the top. She pulled herself up onto the ledge for a rest. Brushing her light brown hair out of her face, Kijara took Kirsta out of her bag. She dug into her bag to find her sandwich and water. Taking a great gulp of her water she set to eating her food. She broke a good chunk off of it and gave it to kirsta, who ate it happily. After they were through, Kijara took another gulp to finish off her water and put the empty container back into her bag. Slinging it across her back, Kijara got up and started walking across the ledge. She looked down at the crystal clear pool below her. It was surprisingly deep for it's size, but that would of never have stopped Kijara. Unshouldering her bag she looked a running leap into the water below her.
She hit the water with a splash and then all was silent. Below the water so many wondrous pokemon swam past her with curious looks on their faces. Kijara grabbed hold of a passing dewgon and let it pull her through the water. The pokemon were quite accustomed to seeing her, as she came here nearly every day. The dewgon swam up to the surface, allowing just enough time for Kijara to get a breath, before diving back under the surface. The dewgon cried out, sounding eerily underwater. Releasing the pokemon, Kijara swam back up to the surface. She swam to the edge of the pool and looked up at Kirsta on the ledge above her.
"Why don't ya come on down here? And bring the pack to please." The kirlia obeyed and glided down with the pack floating behind her. "Thanks," Kijara said as she hugged the Kirlia. They had been together for as long as she could remember. Taking another water out of her backpack, she took another gulp.
"Bleck! Eww... That one definitely has something wrong with it." She capped the bottle and placed it next to her backpack. "Come on Kirsta come seem with me!" Kijara pulled the Kirlia into the water. It propelled itself as easily as it glided over ground. Together they raced through the water together. Kijara looked down at a dragonair gliding below her. She took in every detail of it. The smooth blue color and the white underbelly, the "wing" on the side of its head, the small horn on its head, and its deep violet eyes.
Suddenly Kijara's vision blurred, and went into a swirl of color. She felt dizzy and like she was going to upchuck her sandwich. She opened her mouth to scream, but only water filled it. "Oh lord I'm gonna drown," was the only thought going through her head. She felt strange. She was unable to move any part of her body, and she was aware of everything. Her body grew longer and slimmer, her arms and legs seemed to merge with her body and changed into a blue color. Her ears seamed to change shape into wings and move up on her head. Her whole head changed shape and 3 orbs came out of seemingly nowhere to settle on her neck, and two on her tail. Through all this Kijara was near to completely clacking out, she couldn't breathe for the water in her lungs. She took another desperate breathe, and although water flowed in, she could actually breathe. She felt no more constriction in her chest.
<What the Hullabaloo?> Kijara looked at her new body in shock. <Dr-dr-dragonair.> She managed to squeak. She turned to the Pokemon she had been concentrating on before this unbelievable change came over here. The pokemon looked nearly as shocked as she was.
[Don't look at me! I didn't do it!] The dragonair spoke.
Now Kijara's mind was numb. If she wasn't in the water, she would have collapsed in shock. <How the hell can you talk?> Kijara wasn't the kind of person that would swear or say stuff without a meaning. She had never swore or said anything close to it in her life. Now was different.
[What? You can understand me?] The dragonair's voice sounded like little bells tinkling, even though it was in shock as well.
<Oh gosh, this too weird. You have no idea what the heck happened?>
[None at all.]
<That's great... Wait, where's Kirsta?> Kijara turned around effortlessly in the water searching for her kirlia. She moved her body in an up and down motion, darting effortlessly through the water. She broke the surface of the water doing a small flip in the air before landing on the ground beside the pool. Her Kirlia was crying next to her bag.
[Oh Arceus, what have I done. My master is gone what have I done.]
Kijara felt the true loyalty between them. Sliding over to the crying pokemon, she used her tail to lift the Kirlia's face up. <It's ok. You didn't do anything. I have no idea how this crap happened, but we're gonna get out of it 'k.>
The kirlia simply nodded and wiped away her tears [But how?]
Kijara sighed as she looked at herself. <I really don't know.>

A Pikachu was walking through Olive city's park, as he did every day, shocking the occasional pokemon and trainer. After climbing onto the trees, he looked around for another challenge.
"Man, this place is boring. How come there is never a good trainer to battle anymore? *sigh* I guess I'll just wait some more."
He sat in a low brach of a very large tree and slowly fell asleep as passerbys commented on his green cheeks. One person threw a rock at the pikachu and he immediatly shot up and thundered the boy.
"How would you like it if I threw rocks at you?" The pikachu asked but all the boy heard was and angry 'pikachu' and ran away.
((OOC: I know it sucks, but I really stink at novel style, and story writing........)) |

Max and Jake were having their weekly walk-to catch Pokèmon, that is. "Umm...Jake?" Max asked. "Yeah, Max?" Jake replied. "I'm getting SOOO thirsty. Did you remember to bring those new LGI water botles?" "Yeah, why don't we take a break for a minute?" "Lets." They sat down, and Jake pulled out the water. They hadn't tried it yet, but they were going to test it. They drank it and imeadily spit it out. "AHH, WHAT THE CRAP WAS LGI THINKING WHEN THEY MADE THIS WATER?!?!?!?!?" Jake exclaimed. "YEAH, WHAT THE CRAP?!?!?!?!?" Repeated Max. "THIS STUFF SUCKS!" Right then they both saw a Treeco and a Torchic at the same time. "Huh?" They both said before they fell unconcis.
