Just like any normal day, Licorice the Yoshi was sleeping on top of his hut on Yo'sters Isle. A blinding light suddenly appeared in the center of the town, and everything went blank. The next thing he knew, he was right outside Peach's castle, in the lake near the entrance.....

During Fawful and Kammy's (for want of a better word) chat, the mutated fish, having finished its snack, was just beginning to get hungry again- when it suddenly felt a disturbance in the water. A sizeable one.
And certainly a yummy one.
It swam off through the sewers in a flash, heading for the poor prey...

A very heavy sleeper, Licorice was sunk at the bottom of the lake, not moving a bit, and steadily running out of air.
He had no idea of the danger that approached.
No idea what was about to happen.

The smaller fish darted away in fear, but the creature did not care for them. Its beady eyes were fixed hungrily on the Yoshi slumbering unwittingly in its path.
Running its tongue along its lips, the creature reached out and wrapped its tentacles around the poor creature's middle.

Darting awake as soon as the creature made contact, the Yoshi began flailing almost immediately.

"GETITOFFGETITOFFGETITOFFGETITOFF-" He repeated over and over while attempting to swim the way the fish came from.

The creature sharply yanked the Yoshi back and moved in with several more of its tentacles, attempting to smother it.

Kammy heard someone's screams echoing through cavernous the pipes. Probably some idiotic Mushroomer that decided to take a swim...

She smirked. At least it was not her that was being nibbled on by that monstrous fish.

Still chanting "GETITOFF" Licorice began struggling harder, but he was running out of air. There wasn't much time left. wait, what am I thinking? The Yoshi gathered the little bit of air he had left and shot his tounge at the creature attaching to it and attempting to tug it into his mouth.

The monster jerked back in alarm, but not fast enough- two of its tentacles were sucked inside the Yoshi's mouth. It burbled in rage and lashed out at it.

Still being attacked and about to feint, Licorice took one last pull on the creature. He wasn't expecting the lash and his nose took a swipe, but he still kept on.

With a gurgling cry of alarm, the fish was sucked into the Yoshi's mouth, tentacles and all.
...It probably didn't taste very good.

Pleased by his success, Licorice toally forgot about the lack of air, suddenly choking on the fowl taste and floating deep into the sewers.

Fawful, who had been scribbling down Kammy's notes, suddenly heard a strange splashing noise nearby.
"Ru?" he murmured, suspicious. Glaring at Kammy, he pocketed her wand and made sure her arms were still bound.
"Be staying here," he threatened, "or I will be making you wish you HAD had the becoming of fish food!"
With that, he scurried off.

Licorice was slowly gaining conciousness as he floated in the sewers as he heard footsteps coming closer. "Who- Who's there. Ugh."

"A...Yoshi of reptilianness?" Fawful chirped, blinking at the creature he had dragged out of the sewer.
Where had his monster gone? He could've sworn-
He scowled as he remembered the Yoshis's special ability.
"GAH! Fink-rat Yoshi of reptilianness!" he ranted. "You had the consumption of my monster of gruesomeness! I have fury!"
