Go now, and read of The Gord, and know that he has walked the path of the Game Store Owner, and that he has suffered for all of us.

http://actsofgord.com/

(It is about Gord's experiences owning a game store, and game stores sell games, and that is the reason I put this here instead of the general discussion or the dump.)

Oh, and there is some foul language. It has true accounts of having to deal with 12 year-olds afterall.

Here's two good parts of it.

The Book of Villainy: Chapter Eleven wrote:
Gord jumps to his feet. And reaches a curious conclusion. The crashing in the back must be someone he knows who he is storing stuff for in the back, and must be sorting it, even though he doesn't have a key to the business.

"That had DAMN WELL better be YOU Brendan!"

"Oh ****!"

<clang>

<stomp stomp stomp>

<Slam>

<Voooooooom!>

<Screech!>

"Uhm.... crap. Guess it wasn't."

The Book of Villainy: Chapter Nine wrote:
So the father comes down and brings the thief with him. He forces her to pay for what she stole at retail, and makes her apologize.

So all was done except for the excommunication.

"I trust I won't see you in here again till you're 19?" spoke the Gord.

"Why the **** would I ever want to come back here?" was the retort.

"Because I'm a sexy man."

What's so bad about owning a game store?

Did I say anything was bad about it? The acts of Gord is aboot one store owner who makes the rules for his business. He doesn't have to put up with crap like bending over backwards to keep a customer. He is free to tell people to never return. He hurls biblical-type words sometimes.
Chapter Four of the Book of Vengeance wrote:
"You can't do that!" spoke the friend and he stepped in to save his punk friend.

"Show respect, lest you will become what you seek to protect!"

"What?"

"Never mind. You can't handle it.
He grabs a thief and slams him into a wall, then into a van, then back into the wall again. He gets to expose the various myths about the law that his more idiotic customers believe. When he's given a resume, he grades it for spelling and grammar before he hands it back with a big, red F on it. He gives thieves, idiots, and rude people what they deserve. He even has a catchphrase.

He's kinda like that, but the Gord is a real person, and the stories are based on true events. Gord is also capable of fighting too.

He's been known to chase after thieves that try to run away and teach them a very painful lesson about the hazards of making the Gord run. He's also managed to beat up two vandals who had tried to kick down the door to his store one night. They had a lead pipe, but the Gord took them out with only two hits.

But with most customers that cause trouble, he prefers to use brains over brawn. He also occaisonally uses a little something known as "the law" to aid him. The book of Justice has most of the stories dealing with the law. He's even been known to profit from other people's thieving ways.
