That's how I get what little bit of attention I can get. I started out by putting Black Yoshi in a number of RP plots to get myself noticed... usually through causing conflict with the main antagonist. Eventually, once I knew I would get attention from at least a few people, I started up the Shiro Tagachi plot, which eventually attracted almost all of RPOT into a single fight against me.
All I can say is... create a character with a lot of personality, wether it be a hero or otherwise, like Black and Shiro. That, along with what Mr. I said, is about how you get involved in RPOT... |

Stupid. You know, there is a reason why theres popular people. Cool and funny people get more attention. Boring people don't. Cool and funny people post more cool and funny topics. Boring people don't. People like cool and funny people. |

Cookies don't really mean anything. And honestly, just the sound of a board labeled "Unpopulars Only" or whatever is, well, awkward. Pointless, in my opinion. |

First, I don't think many people would use an "unpopulars" board. No one would want to label himself as "unpopular."
Second, I've been here since June. And I'm still fairly unpopular, aside from spawning maybe one short-lived fad. It's not worth complaining about--you can have fun while lurking. |

I think the "Unpopulars" board is a crappy idea, but I see where Glitz is coming from.
I've been here since like... May. And posted frequently. And tried to be funny and tried to RP. And people just don't reply to my posts, because my posts aren't like "LOLOLOL LANDMASTER!!! IM HAVE A GAY CRUSH ON SUM1 HEAR!!!!!!"
I can't remember the last time I had an RP plot that more than two other people participated in, or the last time I had a plot that finished out to the end. I wrote a fanfiction and posted it, but not one person read it. Not one person replied to it, except for ONE friend that I know IRL who I just linked the post to so she could read it without me having to email it to her.
Just like real life, I feel like I have to debase myself and pretend to act... well, pretend to act like an intarwebs slut, pretty much... in order for anyone else to associate with me. |

If all you care about is being popular, well....you're not going to get very far. What matters more is the effort you put into your posts. If you truly put effort into your posts, and are satisfied with the way you made it, then you should feel proud of yourself for that. The number of replies and cookies you get means nothing. Because really, it's the people who really try and don't care about the attention they get is who people want to appreciate and like, not the people that sit around whining about how they don't get enough attention. I know you might think I don't understand what it's like to want attention...but really, I know what it feels like to want attention, it's a bad feeling...but if you can learn to control that feeling of wanting to cry out for attention, and try to get attention in more less obvious ways, then that's great. It's a better way than complaining all the time. And plus, people won't get mad at you any more if you don't complain. C: |

And that is EXACTLY Why the board should not exist, do we really need to perpetuate classicism in such a borderline dare I say Utopian society?
what about the "regulars" the members that aren't "Popular" but aren't "Unpopular" A standard upright .nerrdian, little to no Problems with the community, generally respected, but not worshiped. Where would they go.
Do we really need to separate people? I mean isn't that like forcing some sort of digital holocaust? |

Lock plx.
I think I learned it was a stupid idea after THE FIRST THREE POSTS.
Man, I just lost my coolness lately.. I remember when I was awesome... I walked up to Niya Mitsu, and ya know what? I FOUGHT.
Now... I think your nerdiness has rubbed of on me man, I need space. |
