#viciouscycle
And so the cycle starts anew. Sonic Generations lets players play as a classic, sidescrolling Genesis Sonic or as modern, control-him-from-behind-in-3D Sonic. As Kotaku previously pointed out, there are no special powers and no playable friends.

They'll probably still *crag* this up regardless though
>there are no special powers and no playable friends.
>no playable friends.
>playable
I bet there'll be another "new" character to annoy everyone.
Where's the catch? Still calling it's gonna fail.
and all they did with old sonic was copy and paste the entire level from the original game and just add a ton of photoshop effects
The classic mode looks kinda fun, but the modern levels look just as stupid as ever. I'll probably pass.
Nas just shut up we know you automatically hate everything new.
I for one LOVE the modern levels since I believe with the bottom of my heart that Sonic Unleashed (Day Stages) was the best that 3D Sonic will ever be.
I am the Eggman; That's what I am.
The non-werehog stages in Sonic Unleashed were pretty fun, I'll admit that. But they were still nowhere near as fun as older Sonic games. I haven't played SA2 in a while, so I'm probably not the best judge anymore, but I do remember LOVING it at the time.
What really made SA2 in the first place was the chao garden and the Sonic and Shadow stages. Knuckles and Rouge's stages were enough to actually ruin the game for most people if it wasn't for those two things.
If you really want to be psychoanaleptical about it you could say Sonic 3 and Knuckles was the last truly great sonic game and that once Sonic hit 3D he started going to shit.
Colours didn't suck from what I saw (never got my hands on it). It was pretty much Sonic Rush 2 and Sonic Rush was good.
i absolutely adored sonic day stages in that werewolf game. i absolutely adore the old sonic games too.
for some reason I can't help but imagine wheately cramming two test different test chambers together though in a rush to create one giant test chamber. i don't know why.
