One of the first games I ever owned was Sonic the Hedgehog on the Game Gear. I took it everywhere, a security blanket with buttons. So it was more than a touch nostalgic to get hands-on with Sonic on the 3DS, with its comparable form-factor and vividly-coloured screen. And I guess that's the point of the game itself.
